Day 264 Daily Challenge 09/20/2012 "WARNING"

As we travel through our lives, there are things all day every day, that WARN us.... Some are obvious, like street signs, railroad crossings........Others become obvious as we go along. Today, use your creativity...yes, road signs are welcome, but look for the other warnings that are there..... Take a picture of a road sign, and make the warning something totally different than it was meant for. I am anxious to see what you come up with. I will be busy, but will be looking in when I can.
Remember, RED is always welcome as a wildcard......

"A face only a mother could love". Late-instar Pipevine Swallowtail (Battus philenor) caterpillar grazing on toxic Dutchman's Pipevine (Aristolochia californica). 1:2 or 1/2-life size.
Caterpillars that eat toxic plants become poisonous, and usually display bright colors as a WARNING to their potential predators.

Beware of the Hickory Tussock Moth Caterpillar!: the story of this warning was found in the Bangor Daily News:

I have seen two of these sweet teddy bear looking appealing caterpillars twice during late August. I only pick up caterpillars by breaking off the leaf I find them on or scoop them up with a small stick or twig. The Hickory Tussock moth in the photo below was left by me where I had found it, And in the second photo is a visual warning of danger at a railroad crossing or maybe could just be considered a red wildcard for the day. I was on a train, at eye level( or camera level) when this picture was taken.
The third photo shows a different species of another Tussock Moth. I don't know if there is a danger warning associated with this caterpillar. Be wary and remain safe. enjoy its beauty with your camera!

A warning sign at the pond: This pond is practically in my son's backyard. This man made pond is full of goldfish and they were easily and safely netted for a closeup view. Permission for the netting activity was given by the pond workers or caregivers.
Fresh water Goldfish inhabit this pond!
