Finally a bit of normality again.

Our Governor relaxed our protocols yesterday. As he was talking, I got a continual stream of comments from our {previously working} daughters, who are quite convinced he is rushing things.

Yeah! That’s what we need in this country - a bunch of Typhoid Marys out in the public!

If you infect someone else you should go to jail.

I wonder if that sign was actually displayed, and if so, was it done without the writer laughing the whole time he was writing it?
The plural "balls" at the end makes me suspicious since most people use only one bowling ball.
the balls on the return are next to each other.
Seems some people don’t realize that the lockdown was only to “flatten the curve.” It was never intended to kill/cure the virus as that may never happen.

What makes you think some people don’t understand that?
And what difference does that, in itself, make?

The comments they make demonstrate quite clearly that they expect the virus should be gone before we should be returning to life. If they did understand the purpose of the lockdown, I doubt they would be as afraid to come out of isolation. A positive attitude goes a long way to brightening the day for everyone. Really wish that I could go bowling today.

Doesn't your province allow it yet?
Too bad you don't live in Georgia; in a few weeks we'll see how their variant is working.

No, not yet. Sounds like things will get going in two weeks although some of the parks are opening this Monday.

Each state is performing its own opening, with further actions dependent on how level of infection reacts to actions already taken. In my state, bowling alleys will be able to open at 50% in mid-June
if infections don't go up in reaction to the openings that occur before then. Three counties will be behind the others - Marion {capital}, Lake {near Chicago}, and Cass {home of a large packing plant}, because they have the largest levels of infection and have not fallen to the levels others have reached. Most parks have been open all along and we have been able to drive there all along.
Good to hear that places are opening and getting back to “normal”. Has anyone considered that the old “normal” wasn’t such a good thing? New normal might have clean air, clean water, healthcare for all, better working conditions and better government? Now that a certain segment that never was really compliant anyway will get their way. Soon many more will be sick and unfortunately die. That will hopefully drive the final nail home in the current administrations coffin. Then with the grace of god positive changes for all Americans will come about. It is a pity that those of us who understand are going to have to suffer the actions of those who don’t. There are no containment borders even if we fenced in those who believe that it is time again for “normal”. Such a pity.
