Yakama Reservation Wild Horses and Cherry Blossoms

I know that's an unusual pairing but since we saw the cherry blossoms on the way to look for horses, I thought I'd put them together. We are fortunate that in Central Washington, there are still ways we can get outside while maintaining social distance. This area is primarily agricultural and borders the Yakama Indian Reservation. Both provide great photo opportunities when you get lucky. These horses are wild in the truest sense of the word. You usually have about 30 seconds to snap their picture.
When I posted these, I noticed that my ISO was set at 800 . . . far faster than I probably should have used but at least I ended up with a fast enough shutter speed to freeze them!
If you have a favorite, I'd appreciate knowing what it is and as always, I appreciate your critique. Thanks for looking and your time.

Sally, the first and last horse shots are my favorites. I think you've captured a wild, free spirited sense that is highly engaging.

I took photos from Rte 97 a couple of times, but then realized there's not really any way to know they are wild! I see that with AZ Salt River shots posted to UHH also. So thinking that, I'm even more impressed by your two photos I mentioned.

Thanks, Linda. These horses are so different from the ones in AZ. They are truly wild and you have to react quickly. The ones at the Salt River have been so desensitized that you sometimes have to chase them away. Here, everything I take is with my 400mm lens fully extended and then severely cropped. I appreciate you comment and especially knowing your favorites.

Wonderful work, Sally. Don't forget that as spring progresses you have the Palouse.

You’re absolutely right. Thanks for the reminder. We just moved back from AZ and I’ve never been there to take pictures but I’ve seen some beautiful work from there.

Nice set. The gray is a wonderful capture, I don't believe I have ever seen a horse marked that way before. You captured the true spirit of the wild in this one.

We absolutely loved the four days we spent in that region. Here is one of the posts I made from that visit

Sally, I like them all, flowers and horses. If push came to shove, I think the first two horse photos would be my choice.

Great and very enjoyable set. My favorite ( I think) is #3, the 1st horse picture. Patrick
