Reminds me of the gas lines of the 80's....
Gas is down to $1.65 here in Nashville. But we only go to the grocery store once a week about 2 miles. So we won't need gas for months. Sad...
I have been buying Costco's 3 lb. cans of Colombian coffee for years. I was there a couple weeks ago and one item on the list was their coffee but they were out of it. I went back a week later and they were still out. Plenty of their decaf, however. I knew about the run on toilet paper and hand sanitizers but coffee. I didn't realize people were hoarding coffee.
BTW, I worked at a major oil company during the 70's dispatching truck/trailer loads of gasoline to service stations in our service area. It was a crazy time. And, no, working for the oil company didn't get us any favored treatment, we waited in line and paid the same price as everyone else. Well, there was one employee who used the plant's gas pump that was used for filling company cars. He didn't work there anymore when they found out about it.

ARCO may have been East Coast only, it started as Atlantic Refining Company and was pretty common around here in the 60's, 70's and 80's.
WAWA seems to be the big player around here now ...
We have more than several ARCO stations here in Nevada; so not East Coast only far as I know.
Donald,
During that time in the early 70's, I was teaching in a NJ high school. Congress altered the time and changed it to a 2 hour differential. I was teaching in the pitch dark for my first two morning classes. It was challenging and very strange.
Be safe,

Remember the gas lines.....worked at a gas station back then! Today, the 'bread lines' started here.
Grocery stores are only allowing a certain % of the maximum people allowed by fire codes. People have
to wait for numbers to drop before they are let in!!! Nice catch.

Just wondering if the OP's photo was for a COVID-19 testing station set up at the donut shop ??
Ya just gotta wonder folks would risk death by virus to quench a carbohydrate Jones ??
Yep! Not sure about Las Vegas but don't know why not if we have them up here.
