Remember how all cars had a hood ornament from the 1930 to 1950's. They were classic from greek methodology to Roman gods of speed. You can still buy these on Ebay. If anyone knows what type of car they were on please post.

The first is the Packard Speed Goddess. Here it is on a 1933.
Those hood ornaments were great. Too bad they faded away.

The fourth is the Buick Flying Lady.
I believe the 3rd is a 1955 or 56 Chevrolet Belair.
They really are beautiful and your captures are nice but I can't help thinking about the poor people that got hooked by them before they were outlawed and seatbelts were mandatory.

I think the second one is a Bentley
Beautiful works of art that morphed from radiator caps, to wild ornaments, to subdued ornaments, to a strip of stainless, and then nothing. Well photographed, Dave.

A very nice collection indeed.

The fifth is the Cadillac Flying Lady, but I don't have a good photo of that one. Thanks for the compliment John.
