DST sucks. If you live in the western part of a time zone winter time DST would be miserable. I grew up in Michigan at remember going to school and the stars would be shining in the dark sky. If there was DST in the winter the sun wouldn't rise until a bit after 9AM. When I was growing up MI had no daylight saving time.

The time of day will go up one hour on Sunday. Arizonan is one State that does not change Times. California voted in a past election, to join Arizona in not changing time. But, it has to be approved by the federal government, before it is implemented. Only 4 months of the year are Standard Time. From early November to early March. Why just 4 months? I'm wishing for federal approval, so California joins Arizona, in not changing time twice a year. Don't forget to change your clocks and watches, etc. I prefer daylight savings time. Yearlong.

I'm probably wrong but, I seem to remember way back when.... changing the time to DST had something to do with kids going to school.

DST was instituted early in WWII to accommodate armaments production work shifts.
Actually, DST was adopted in the US in 1918, as part of the WWI war effort.

I really don’t need time, never wear a watch. My life is full of people who tell me where to be, when to be there and what to do😊
Absolutely hilarious. I tried to tell it to my wife and could hardly get thru it for laughing all over again. Got us both going. I don't know why it struck me so funny, but thank you for a great laugh, I could use one like that every day.

I live in Arizona and am so glad that we don't through this stupid time change thing. I am sure that the reason the whole country doesn't change has to do with either money or politics.

The real question is who invented time?
The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once.

I'm for DST year round, more so now that I am retired. Like it light later, more time outdoors. Just my 2 cents worth. To each their own. (Never minded starting workday in the dark, but sure hated driving home in dark.)

It's high time the entire country did away with this antiquated tradition. It's a pain in the posterior for everybody.

Yep. If I'm not speaking for you, you must be a nobody.

What next? First I was "A Silent Majority", then a "Deplorable", and now a "Nobody". Golly gee whiz, what next???
Actually, except for the changing the time on about six clocks in the house and two cars, it doesn't bother me a bit. The only bother is resetting my internal clock.
I suppose along with my slightly strange sense of humor, this kerfuffle about DST is much ado about nothing.

I’m guessing you rarely get to speak for yourself.
