Like I said, I didn't see any humor in it. And PC has nothing to do with it, or Apple

I suppose atheists are the last group you can openly ridicule without expecting criticism. Black and gay jokes used to be “funny” but not so much any more. I get a little weary of being told we are a Christian nation - try actually reading the Constitution some time. The only references to religion are the anti-establishment clause and the prohibition of a religious test for any government office (that’s actually a joke, in practice).

An atheist was walking through the woods. 'What majestic trees! 'What powerful rivers!

Suddenly, he heard a rustling in the bushes behind him. He turned to look and saw a 7-foot grizzly bear charge towards him. He ran as fast as he could along the path. He looked over his shoulder & saw that the bear was closing on him. He continued running.
He looked over his shoulder again and the bear was even closer and then, he tripped and fell.
Rolling over to pick himself up, he found the bear was right on top of him, reaching towards him with its left paw and raising the right paw to strike.
At that instant the Atheist cried out, 'Oh my God!'
Time Stopped. The bear froze. The forest went silent.
A bright light shone upon the man, and a voice came out of the sky and said, "You deny my existence for all these years. You teach others I don't exist and even credit creation to cosmic accident. Do you expect me to help you out of this predicament?"
"Am I to count you as a believer now?"
The atheist looked directly into the light and said… "It would be hypocritical of me to suddenly ask you to treat me as a Christian now ... but perhaps you could make the BEAR a Christian?"
There was a pause, and then, "Very well," said the voice.
The light went out. The sounds of the forest resumed.
The bear dropped his right arm and brought both paws together and bowed his head & spoke.
"Lord, bless this food, which I am about to receive. Amen."

Na,
not the last.
Pretty soon you won't be able to say anything derogatory about anyone.
Bald people have feelings too.
Humor will die.

But you got "too technical" and blew the humor.
There was really no need to correct it... We got the jest of the joke,
at least most of us did.
I guess the humor comes from having that typical Christian fantasy mentality. But even in that sense it’s a bit amusing.
Some people see only one way, their way. Look at our national scene. Everyone, regardless of religious belief has value. This
joke, unintentionally, furthers
the devisive prejudices that so many of us have. We have sim
ilar prejudices against blondes, people of color, Jewish people,
even Italian and Irish. These
seem harmless enough, but do
serve to continue stereotypes. I have a sense of humor, but also
am aware of the damage such
jokes can cause. Oh, and such humor can also be used with occupations. Who among us has
not told and laughed at Lawyer
jokes? In a country currently
very divided I ask folks to con
sider this prior to passing along humor that targets and stereo
types groups of any type.

I totally agree. Whether or not we see something as humorous depends on our biases. Sometimes we need to reflect a little deeper into that to discover who and what we really are.

Humor ist now verboten!
No one must be offended, unfortunately, including lawyers and stereos.

I wasn’t offended. I can see why it would be funny to some folks. People are entitled to their beliefs and biases.

Just because someone finds this joke funny does not mean if reflects
"Who and what we really are" . People are so judgemental. I love all people (Straight, gay, any religion, any nationality you get the point). Don't judge me because I think this is just a funny joke. It does not define me. I'm Polish, and I've laughed at Polish jokes before.
