This was posted 2/2014 by dennis2146. In light of the present political climate and the push for socialism, tis time to be posted again then copied and forwarded to your friend and family. He He He.....

Recently, while I was working in the flower beds in the front yard, my neighbors stopped to chat as they returned home from walking their dog.
During our friendly conversation, I asked their little girl what she wanted to be when she grew up.
She said she wanted to be President some day. Both of her parents, Democratic Party members were standing there, so I asked her, "If you were President what would be the first thing you would do?"
She replied... "I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people."
Her parents beamed with pride!
"Wow...what a worthy goal!" I said. "But you don't have to wait until you're President to do that!" I told her.
"What do you mean?" she replied.
So I told her, "You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds, and trim my hedge, and I'll pay you $50. Then you can go over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house."
She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, "Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?"
I said, "Welcome to the Republican Party."
Her parents aren't speaking to me anymore.

Thanks for publishing it again. I had forgotten all about it. I believed that post was accurate then and believe it is true even more these days.

I am pleased with the simplicity of Republican thinking... To solve the homeless problem, mass executions or work camps would be recommended... the defective would be culled out. Many people in many countries are satisfied with totalitarian governments they know what to expect and the rules to follow. Long live the Republican Party and my Trump and family be presidents for ever.

Now that's just silly.
We term limit the president. Two, four year terms then he or she needs to be replaced for at least a term.

Instead of understanding the intent of the lesson in economics, the poster resort to "executions and work camps". Sir, there are many, many, many ways to solve the homeless problem as there are many, many, many reasons for people to be homeless. But you do yourself harm when you attack a simple solution with obvious hard line positions, and this is the problem with our representatives currently. No one is willing to talk about solutions, unless it solidifies their way off thinking. Please open up your mind!!

The nicest thing anybody can say about your post is, YOU made that up. Who is talking executions, who mentioned work camps, who said anything about culling anybody out. I don't recall anybody satisfied with totalitarian governments either. I definitely don't want the Trump family to forever reign as POTUS of America. Where do you laughable Liberals come up with this BS crap? Do you honestly expect to be taken seriously.

Please for your own sake and the good of the free world, GET A LIFE and TAKE YOUR MEDS.

A person is limited to being elected twice - or once if they've already served more than two years as President. It is in the Constitution as the Twenty-second Amendment.

To simplify is a ploy for argument and so is the other extreme which is what I did in my post. Homelessness is a complex subject and the reasons for individuals being homeless have many roots. Many times it is a mental condition. Years ago there were many mental institutions for those suffering from such maladies. " Reagan closed down mental institutions when he was governor." "When Reagan was President he threw everyone off Social Security Disability," LWW always says "read a book" Regan and many said "take a pill." "President Jimmy Carter provided grants to community mental health centers. In 1981 President Ronald Reagan and the U.S. Congress repealed most of the law. " [congress was still a slight majority Democrat but the Senate was Republican.]
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mental_Health_Systems_Act_of_1980

The rigid Republican Brain thinks all poor are poor for a personal reason. Should they become disabled their attitudes would view things from the other side.
