Someone asked this end-of-year question last year. I guess I get to ask for 2019. Filtering by 2019 as the shooting date, I get "20 lenses" in my LR catalog spread over 1587 images and three cameras, but that count is skewed by the use of extenders. The EF 300 f/2.8L IS II comes in as my #1 when the two extended configurations are merged along with the lens alone, totaling 408. That's 'keepers' in the catalog. The usage number is probably 3x to 4x that number in bursts at airshows.
I was surprised to see the EF 16-35 f/4L IS was the second most used in file count at 256.
I looked at the filters several times as just 1587 images for the calendar year seems surprisingly low. I know I shot less, but that's less than half the 2018 count for the same LR filters that returns 3675.
If you filter and count your images, what surprises did you find? Do you use your own usage data to plan to sell unused lenses / cameras? Or maybe, to change the lenses you'll use more in 2020?

#1 is Canon EF 28-300 f/3.5-5.6L IS, #2 is Canon EF 16-35 f/4L IS. :-)
I shoot mostly wildlife and use a Sigma 150-600 Contemporary on
my Nikon D7500. Love this lens.

I have used my 18-135 STM lens the most in 2019. It has a nice range and very good image quality on my canon 80D.

Not quite sure, but a vast majority of my annual pics are taken during a one week period in late July (known by it's location the world over as simply "Oshkosh") In this instance, I used my most recently purchased lens, a Tamron 150-600 G2 for almost all of the flightline images. It was the first lens that I used a focus target on (came with it as a part of a package deal from B&H) and found that a micro-adjustment in my camera was in order. Made all the difference in the world!!! I have yet to try my other lenses, but my 105 macro seems to have always been spot on when I've used it. After I recover from paying for next year's birthday vacation I'm probably going to start saving for a 70-200 2.8 or a ff (maybe a a99ii).

I how a lot of hiking, 2-3 outings a week. I like to get outdoor landscapes, and frequently need a long zoom for birds and creatures, along with photos of wildflowers. My always with me combination is a Canon 80D and my Tamron 18-400. Gives me everything I am interested in on a regular basis.
It a tie between the Canon EFs 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 and the Sigma 18-35 mm f/1.8 on my Canon 7D Mark II. The Sigma is mostly used for low light situations. Together they account for almost 90% of my photography. I rarely shoot anything over 100mm.

My favorite and most used lens is the Canon 35 1.4 L II attached to to a 5D M4. Great combination for low light interior shots that are very sharp. Still use a Canon 24-105 f4 L from time to time. Age and health issues have slowed my photography activities to some degree from PGA golf events and college football to grandchildren and holidays. Age does have a way of limiting GAS................
Late to the party here...
99% of the images I took last year were with the Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro. I took a couple hundred images with the Canon 50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro, and a small handful of images with a couple of other lenses.

LOL Mike! The only way I would hit 99% with one lens was if I sold 100% of all the others.

Yeah, a lot of days I would shoot all day with the 100mm - plants, blossoms, thousands of shots, then I might take a couple of landscape shots with the 50mm as a record of where I was. I did take a couple hundred shots of birds and butterflies with the SX50.
