Someone asked this end-of-year question last year. I guess I get to ask for 2019. Filtering by 2019 as the shooting date, I get "20 lenses" in my LR catalog spread over 1587 images and three cameras, but that count is skewed by the use of extenders. The EF 300 f/2.8L IS II comes in as my #1 when the two extended configurations are merged along with the lens alone, totaling 408. That's 'keepers' in the catalog. The usage number is probably 3x to 4x that number in bursts at airshows.
I was surprised to see the EF 16-35 f/4L IS was the second most used in file count at 256.
I looked at the filters several times as just 1587 images for the calendar year seems surprisingly low. I know I shot less, but that's less than half the 2018 count for the same LR filters that returns 3675.
If you filter and count your images, what surprises did you find? Do you use your own usage data to plan to sell unused lenses / cameras? Or maybe, to change the lenses you'll use more in 2020?
I used my Nikon 16-80 f2.8- the most. I’ve been very impressed with it.
Hard to say for sure. Since buying an EOS R in January I have sold off most of my EF lenses, except for my EF 100-400 L II and my EF 100 f/2.8 L Macro and have purchased 4 RF lenses. Probably my most used lens has been the 100-400 both with and without the EF 1.4xIII and 2xIII extenders followed by the RF 85mm f/1.2 L.
Your well supported remarks have caused me to become a fan of your contributions to UHH. As always these remarks are thought provoking. Thanks for being such a supporter of our forum. By the way, my favorite lens for 2019 was my Canon 18-135. More of my images were shot with this lens.
Olympus 12/40 Pro. Nikkor 105mm Ai f4 micro a close second. Had never thought of checking into this before. Thanks for sparking my curiosity.
It's about 50:50 for me shooting FF. The Sigma 24 ART and the Nikon 24-70 have been the two most used lenses.
16-70 f4 for my Sony a6000. About 80% when traveling. For rest, use 35 f1.8 for low light and 55-210 for distance.
I don't need to do any filtering or searching. Hehe. Got my Tamron 150-600 mm in Feb. or Mar. Spent the summer using it every chance I got in between rain. Used some others for specific purposes, but the grandkids weren't in any summer sports this year. Mostly wildlife shots.
Nikon 24-70 for events, with Nikon 70-200 on second body. Those two members of the holy trinity cover about 90% of my needs.

Canon EF-s 17-55mm 2.8 is usm used on my t3i, and now currently on my 77d. This lens is very sharp but is also heavy. (Helps keep me in shape 🤓.)
18-300 on my D7200 and 24-85 on my D750, although I did a lot of distance landscape shooting using my 28-300 then.
18-300 on my D7200 and 24-120 on my D750.
50f1.8, 85f1.8 and 70-300L in that order.
