This is sort of a narrow question and probably late for this year, but, based on your actual experience, What was your best photo trip for fall color, preferably with a number of impressive waterfalls?

Two years ago I did the Watkins Glen, New York area.
Last year I did the Ricketts Glen, Pennsylvania area.

This year I am booked for the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

I want to plan ahead for future years.

Thank you.

Vermont and New Hampshire. We save NH for the last leg. We end up at the State Liquor Store, it has it's own exit . Stock up on wine and Scotch. They have really good prices and...and, no sales tax!!

Central Vermont - around Stowe - and the loop around the White Mountains in New Hampshire are spectacular in the fall.

Northern Wisconsin and Michigan’s U.P.

We go every year the first full weekend in October, for work, and it always seems to be peak week when we’re there. I look so forward to it! Gorgeous! We always make a trip to Bond Falls, Porcupine Mountain and last year we stumbled upon another falls, though I don’t remember exactly where it was- Interior Township is what the pics on my phone says. Lots to see there- I’m looking for new locations in the area myself this year. My husband is an avid fisherman but prefers to stay off the lakes so we’re always hopping around looking for the hidden gems (trout streams, etc.) the colors are amazing! This is a phone shot of the Interior Township location. That’s an old railroad track above it that’s now a walking trail.

Transylvania County, NC. Lottsa Falls and Southern Appalachian leaves. Don't forget Chimney Rock. Close second; Banff/Lake Louise/Jasper in Canada.

Northern Wisconsin and Michigan’s U.P. br br We ... (show quote)

Thank you for the information. I understand there are nearly 200 named waterfalls in the U.P. for Michigan...I had a hard time booking a room with my favorite motel chain.

You’re welcome- and WOW! I had no idea. We didn’t see another sole when we were at this particular falls.
