This Past Monday I was at a Best Buy Store in Burbank, Calif & I Saw the Canon SX-70 Bridge Camera & does Anybody know when this Model came Out & what Kind of Features this Camera Has?

I Tried to Work the Model at the Store, but the Battery was Dead!

If there is a Link to find out more about the SX-70, or Reviews on this Model that Quietly came Out I'd also like to know also!

You are correct. There was lots of hoopla about the Canon SX-60, and then about the Nikon P1000 ...... but the SX-70 seems to have just snuck in when hardly anyone was looking.

Had Not Been Monitoring UHH Site from Late 2018 to April of this Year Due to Other Issues, & Again did Not Know that the SX-70 was Out, Till Monday.

but thanks to Other UHH Posters, I have the Links Regarding Info for SX-70.

Just saying that typing "release date Canon SX70" is the shortest, fastest, easiest path to the knowledge you seek. Posting on UHH is probably not any of the above.

Those are nice little cameras, but remember that Canon did not put any weatherproofing on them. It sounds like you live near Burbank, so rain is not usually your biggest issue, but it is still a good thing to know when looking at a new purchase.

Do a side by side of the sx60is and the sx70is, not enough difference for me to sell my 60 and get the 70. It was rumored it to have a 100x zoom, did not happen. Love my 60, need no other camera. Please join the Bridge Camera Show Case, and post. I started with the sx5, then sx10, then sx40 and then the sx60.
