Anyone heard of Ten Sleep, Wyoming? Found this place on Wy 16 between Mt Rushmore and Yellowstone.
Author C. J. Box has a whole series of novels that are based in the Wyoming Mountains around 12 Sleep County.
My brother wanted to live in the town-a small town but special!

Sidetrack: I love C.J. Box and his Joe Pickett character. I just picked up his newest.
Yup----Through there last week (I work in WY). Some of the most diverse country between Ten Sleep and Buffalo you'll see.

Been there many times when I lived in Wyoming. Worked on an oil well that drilled into the Tensleep Formation.
My eyes are deceiving me - I looked at this & could see the clouds moving.

Read C J Box. Best selling author.
Many novels about a WY game warden.
I was gonna say: Joe Pickett country.
Fine shot. A great drive, one I took coming back from Glacier and Bitterroot Valley in Montana.
Never heard of it. Great shot.
Found Ten sleep same way you did, coming down from S.D. Lived in Rock springs WY for a while. Wyoming is a great place. The photo ops are truly endless. Wind river range, great basin,Tetons,Flaming gorge rec. area going into Utah etc, etc, etc. Wyoming should be one gigantic national park. The state has an amazing diversity of landscapes. Like your shot, brings back memories.
