I just wanted to post that I got the best care from them. Sent in my 35 2.8 Zeiss because it wasn't focusing, I'm going on a vacation on the beach/ocean July 20th and picked up a underwater housing for my a6500 w the Zeiss so was upset that I wouldn't get to use it, but they got the lens on July 2 and I got it back today the 10th. Great service and the lens is in top working order.

Unfortunately, there are two outfits called Precision Camera. One of them is in CT, specializing in repairs:

The other is a great full-service camera store in Austin, TX, which I like a lot as well.

Thank you both for the reviews. I've been dropping my Sony so often I've been wondering where to send it when something finally gives-way inside. Fortunately it's been on a padded carpet so far.

A long time ago Olympus used them for repair service. I sent them my my EM-5 and grip. It was sent from Texas to Connecticut for repair. When I finally got it back, the grip couldn’t fit on the camera, the pin on the grip the attaches to the camera was bent. I called them and they told me to buy a new grip and send the the bill. To their credit they paid the bill. On of the reasons I bought a Fuji it that their repair service is near me.

I agree with you. I dealt with Precision Camera in Connecticut for many years without any complaints. They repaired a extremely broken lens (see picture). Well the parts were in Texas so they shipped it to Texas and then shipped it back to me total of 9 days with no extra charge for the extra shipping. The lens works better than new.

Precision Camera Repair (CT) repaired my physically broken Zeiss/Sony 16-70mm (for A6300). Initially fixed/returned lens did not focus properly. I returned it & they fixed it, no questions asked. Now works great! Will gladly use them again.

There is a Precision Camera in Sacramento, California as well, that has the same type of customer service as mentioned for the other two places.

Are they still there? I used to visit them about 10 years ago but a couple of years ago I didn't find them on Lamar any more.

I am not a Sony person but I found they are well stocked on Leica. I think the owner was originally started a business repairing Leica.
