Recently, in our news stories there was an article with a photo from a video, of an eagle swooping on the photographer mr Biro, forgot his first name.
It was on the net & viral viewed.
The pic in the paper was not very good, so I googled the Bruce story. I'm surprised if it hasn't been viewed in US & other countries.
The still pic is, I assume, taken as a snapshot from the video, since it was a split second image, early in the video clip.
It is an amazing pic. I've sucked it off the net to share it here. Hope I'm not stepping on toes.
Google "Bruce the Bald Eagle" to see it.
Wow, impressive looks to good to be real!

You've certainly violated the posted rules for the Photo Gallery and likely the copyright of both the photographer and the site where you obtained this attachment.
A better approach would be to open a post in the Chit Chat section and provide a link to the site where the image was presented and discussed.
Photo Gallery SectionThis section is for posting pictures you took. If you want to ask others to comment on your choice of subjects, composition, settings, show off your pictures to others, or ask for general critique, then please do so in the Photo Gallery section.

Well I acknowledge its not my pic, it's Steve Biro's. It couldn't be more public than on the Net, free for all to see, I have no financial interest in it, Just admiration & amazement.
If I hadn't posted it, would Hoggers ever see or be aware of it???
Congratulations to Steve Biro.

Bruce the eagle is a "pet". the article states the photog had several attempts of bruce in flight from different vantage points. He took pics of bruce the year before and when he was going to be displayed again the photog went to get some more pics and knew where the flight pattern was. Good shot but staged.

Actually, since the bird is named "Bruce", I sort of assumed that it was a captive/trained animal shoot.
Your post makes it sound as if that's a bad thing. Maybe that's what you intended... or maybe not.
Personally, I really don't see any problem. Frequently it's the only way to get shots and can give us insight into their wild cousins.
Joel Sartore's on-going "Photo Ark" project is being done entirely with captive animals. 30,000+ images and a 400 page book, so far. And if those are good enough for National Geographic, they're good enough for me.
Besides, the shot of "Bruce" could have been taken anywhere in the wild. It's a natural setting and a critter behaving naturally... nothing about the image [i]appears[/u] staged.
I do think it's important that images be properly labelled "captive/trained", when the photos are being marketed as stock or whatever....proper disclosure. But I don't think that lessens an image's beauty, impact or value.

It is illegal to post images taken by others unless you have their express permission to do so. Just because others do it, does not mean it should be done by you. I know someone recently, mostly because they used the image they took off the web for an ad, that had to pay the photographer $2,500 or be sued. Good to avoid these types of things. I always try to think what I would like someone to do with my images and that, for me, would not be to repost or use them in any way that I have not provided consent for. Just my thought on this.

This has already been shared in an earlier post. The photo is all over the news and all over social media - so there are probably a lot of copyright infringers.
Well she’d had been around a couple days if not week north of 45

I saw that somewhere else. Amazing shot. Makes me jealous. I still have to get an eagle shot period, let alone one THAT good.
