"LIGHTROOM CLASSIC:6.12
Please be aware that should you continue to use the discontinued version(s), you may be at risk of potential claims of infringement by third parties."

The full text of the email can be viewed on the following link:

This does not apply to me because I am running LR Classic v 8.2, but I thought others might be and you may wish to know about this. I found it interesting the email singled this stand-a-lone version and ignored the earlier and later standalone versions.

easy way to identify if a domain belongs to who you expect is to run a "whois" query (godaddy is a good source for a whois) . The domain is unregistered. The email is most likely fraudulent if not owned by the company you think it is.

here is the actual result address: https://www.godaddy.com/domainsearch/find?domainToCheck=memea-page.mail.adobe.com&isc=gofd1001aj

Very few companies spoof their own email. My guess is that a link in the email will connect you with a virus installer. NEVER go to any link in an email that doesn't seem to have a recognizable domain. Check with whois first and if still not sure (many spoof emails contain an 'almost' correct looking domain. like adobe-mail.com)

Call the customer service of the company you think could be the sender and ask. Never speculate on what it might really be about. You can easily get malware as a result.

A bit more technical knowledge of how this message page (memea-page.mail.adobe.com) is presented from Adobe.com would lead your analysis in a different direction ...

Care to expand ? Part of my day job is to investigate these things. Do you feel something is inaccurate ? Please elaborate rather than just trying to imply an authoritative position that says nothing.

I can get more technical but thought the posted warning would be sufficient to warn and prevent most Phishing attempts. Random speculation of how it 'could be' legit - as presented in previous posts - will get many into trouble.

Do I claim to know with absolute certainty its a Phishing attempt ? No ! Never claimed to after 2 minutes of 'investigation'. I can do more and definitively tell you but I usually get paid quite nicely by rather large enterprises for doing that !

I agree. If this is really from Adobe they did a poor job of communicating.
