As I’m shooting with a non-WiFi enabled DSLR, and I was looking to purchase a WiFi SD card for a special event this week to easily transfer images to smartphones.
I called B&H and Adorama today and they state that these WiFi cards are no longer manufactured. Does anyone know if someone still has these cards for sale ?

There are third party sellers on Amazon with them but they are gone because of dependability issues. You are better off with a dedicated Wi-Fi adapter for your specific camera so you don't risk losing images due to the card.

Not inexpensive, but a Camranger is the answer if it supports your camera. Fast, good range and allows complete camera control.

One of my clients has a dental camera using a WiFi card. It's a big pain in the rush and only works occasionally. Just pull the card & use an adapter.

I have been using EyeFi SD cards for many years now and I have always found them very reliable, unfortunately they are no longer available but you may track some down on Ebay or Amazon but they can be expensive. Alternatively Toshiba have a similar Wifi SD card know as "Flash Air" and they are much cheaper but can be tricky to set up but once this is done they are just as good as EyeFI cards.
The app required is "Keenai", why not give that a try.

Btw, after rereading your post, you mentioned wanting to transfer photos of the event to smartphoneS (plural). If that’s the case, you should be aware that the Wi_Fi cards (and Camranger) do not connect to the Internet. They establish an ad hoc connection to ONE device, and in the case of the EyeFi and FlashAir cards, the range is VERY limited, and the transfer is fairly slow, so you’ll have to transfer and save to your smartphone or tablet, and then up load them to a place (such as Facebook, Google Drive, etc.) where others can view them. Just wanted to make you aware of those limitations.

If you have a Nikon DSLR, they have several (Wu-1a and Wu-1b) come to mind. I have the Wu-1a and it worked well when I used it.
