I enjoy prime because I live 20 miles out of town. It saves me far more in gas than it costs. Most deliveries are two to three days...to the wilds of Idaho.
Most of the time I get things much less expensive than locally. And they often still do not add sales tax. Recently found I can purchase spices and otc drugs less expesive than local bargain stores!
I recently found they have some great photography courses on Prime. I have the prime TV thing so it easy to find searching by voice. Slick operation!

I live on a small island with only ferry access. We have limited "retail opportunities" when on island. Amazon prime is my lifeline to retail. It's like the Sears Roebucks catalogue of the internet age. But be careful, Amazon prime (even with free shipping) may not be the best price available. Sometimes a "thingy" is available on Amazon's main website but "not available for amazon prime"

I accidentally signed up for Prime when I selected the wrong Free Shipping option. A month later when I got the first bill (which I didn't understand) I called them. They found I did not use any Prime service and promptly refunded that bill. I do use them for some purchases, but not enough to warrant $100 a year just for fast delivery.

I ended my free month trial and just before it ended they offered me another month free -- pushy buggers.

Actually it is not only fast but it is free as well...Serves me well and saves me time and travel too.
