And as for the leash, was that you who drove by me and had a tanned neck where your dog collar sits. Must of been tied up outside a long time to get a tan like that in PA!

My wife and I were at the border 2 or 3 years ago when we visited Big Bend. While we were there we saw trinkets being sold in Big Bend N.P. at various locations. They were hand made and were left for purchase on the honor system. We were told that a young boy would ride his horse across the Rio Grande from Mexico, replinish what had been sold, and pick up the earnings. The river was very crossable and obviously he didn't have any problem doing so to carry on this little business. Although I understand that it was known by authorities what THIS young man was doing, the Big Bend area is one of the hot spots for illegal border crossing. That being said, I would hate to have the beautiful scenery in this area spoiled by an ugly fence right on the border. Hopefully, something could be worked out to move it away from the border itself.
