Being respectful towards other human beings doesn't mean one is being politically correct, it just means they are being normal. Harboring a deep seeded hatred toward an entire gender, is not normal, it's pathetic.

Yep, my first thought was "Sewing room" my wife has almost as much in sewing machines etc as I do camera gear. And she pretty much stopped sewing about 2 years ago.

However I used to know a young lady who happened to be an LAPD officer, on the Metro Squad (she wanted to make it to SWAT). I knew her through a friends Police Eqt and Gun Store where I used to help out a lot for discounts on my toys. Her idea of a "Girl Cave" was a bit different. She collected all kinds of weapons, swords, axes, knives, guns and marital arts stuff. She was also a world class kick boxer and if I remember right she had won the Women's Middleweight title one year. A couple of the guys who went over to help move in some new furniture said that if you were there during an earthquake you would be left suitable for stew meat when all the sharp pointy things started falling off their display mounts.

Her partner was the right size to be a football lineman and a workout nut. On domestic disputes and bar fight type calls (where officers are the most likely to be attacked) he used to let her go through the door first while he followed with a riot baton etc. She wore steel toed boots just to make any kicks more effective.

There was a time not that long ago when this would not even be funny, because it would be true. Both of my grandmothers and my mother loved to cook. The kitchen was their domain, and boy, could they cook. I'd take their food over any of the so called gourmet stuff the restaurants put out today. I just never knew how good I had it growing up. I was doubly lucky. Not only was my Mom a fantastic cook, but she made the best pies ever....not to mention cinnamon rolls and cookies. I've also never had an egg over easy done to perfection like Mom's.

It was also true of so many who grew up in the depression and cooked from scratched rather than from a box. There just weren't fast food restaurants back in the day and not many restaurants to speak of. And these women guarded their kitchens as though it were under attack by foreign invaders. It was serious!! It WAS their she-cave. In those days, the man cave was either the basement or garage. Real fancy digs!!

I'm happily married, have a great outlook on life and don't have to gain recognition by posting belittling humor on the internet. I'm neither stupid or bitter. When in done here, I'm going to go for a ride on my motorcycle. Maybe stop and take some photos. Run by the grocery store and pick up the Christmas turkey. No, in not the bitter one, that is you.
