There are a host of wonderful places to photograph in this state park.

It definitely is. Next time, click the Store Original check box so we can appreciate your images in greater detail.

At one time, the edit remained open for only about an hour. I do not know if that is still true.

I like the photographer silhouettes as foreground.

Re store original: for a download to be generated, you have to check the box before you click the upload and the jpg has to be more than 600 px on a side.

Re editing your post: you have one hour. I've occasionally been in the middle of an edit when the system tells me my time has run out. It is very punctual

I really like the colours you have managed to capture in the sky. This is such a beautiful place.

For those who don't know - Valley of Fire is a Nevada State Park, about an hour north-east of Las Vegas. It is a fascinating place where one could easily spend several days and come nowhere near exhausting its possibilities.

Cheers

I like the photographer silhouette but would remove the couple on the right - I find them a bit distracting. I might also consider tone mapping the foreground slightly to lessen the stark contrast with the mid-ground - unless that is the effect you were seeking and, if so, you nailed it! Nice image, and thanks for sharing!

Wow, no way to understand the distance without that tiny ribbon of road. Amazing! If you aren't a purist, removing the two "poles" on the tops of the ridges would be an improvement IMO. Beautiful shot!

I don't make a habit of pixel peeping, but I was curious to see the distant road and rock formation details.
