I've noticed that a lot of men are split on their opinions of nude maternity images; to each his own. I happen to think they're fantastic and this is a great photo.
I have a friend that runs a small studio that rarely does any nude/boudoir work but he's mentioned that a lot of what he does book are maternity images. The great thing about these sessions is that often the mother will come in a couple of times during her pregnancy.

Very respectfully done, nice pose and lighting. I am thinking getting her on to the table and into the pose should get its own award.

I think the female body is an object of art - as such tasteful photos of whatever condition, with one exception are beautiful. The only exception to that, for me, are breast implants. I like this image!

The lighting and pose are very good. Photos of women during pregnancy can be very rewarding in yrs to come when the child is old enough to understand the art in this tyoe of photo. Congradulations to the mother and family upon their new arrival.

Star, thanks! Actually it’s only a coffee table so getting her on it was pretty easy. We had more trouble with the poses as they weren’t very comfortable and got difficult pretty quickly.
Yes, I got some very nice tasteful shots and a few not so tasteful!!! LoL

I've done a number of maternity shoots and I'm always a little disappointed when the women want to do very clothed shots so that we can't even see the belly exposed. To me there's something very beautiful and innocent about a bare pregnant belly!
This was our 2nd session and this week or next we're gonna do the mother/infant shot as a B&W bodyscape which should be very unique if I pull it off as I'm planning!!!

One of my siblings had sex with his wife minutes before she went into labor with their first son. No dents in his head - no damage done. :-)
When I was probably all of 13 (at best), one of the men's mags (Hustler, I think it was) ran an extensive spread of a women who was in her 8th month, and in it, she spread extensively! I was as close to being hypnotized as I've ever been with a naked woman (before or since) and at 13, I took EVERY opportunity I happened upon to view "nekkid girls!".
I'm sure shrinks would have a field day with it, but I have always found pregnant women to be highly attractive, and in many cases, very erotic as well.
As I've stated elsewhere, I'm not a fan of tattooed women, but this lady looks lovely, and it is a very nice portrait of the onset of motherhood. Kudos!

Something that has not been mentioned here is that a woman's face during pregnancy is very soft and alluring. I noticed this with my own wife and a model I shot years ago. If you look at a lady's face when she is carrying her child you will notice distinct soft look...
