By definition it isn’t obsolete:
ob·so·lete
/ˌäbsəˈlēt/Submit
adjective
1.
no longer produced or used; out of date.
"the disposal of old and obsolete machinery"
Technology wise it is obsolete I never said the D750 does not work. I have a D610 and a D810 which also is coming obsolete but it is working perfect for me
As an example one can have a computer (pc) 6 or 7 years old with Windows 8 in perfect condition working to fulfill the needs but by all means it is an obsolete computer!
We cannot keep up with new technology
Thanks to all for your comments very much appreciated
I use a D610 but I have nothing against buying an "old camera" like the D750. As a matter of fact I bought the D610 instead of a used D700 because in comparison the D610 had a more reasonable price.

You vocabulary skills are sorely lacking. Or, OTOH,
maybe it's an ESL situation and your native tongue
is Trollische ? Why pretend to be confused by your
own ill-chosen terms ?
.
Nobody is confused about anything if you understood my original post I was just asking for input on why Nikon is promoting an old camera. That was it!
And for the responses I got most of the people understood my question
English as a second language has nothing to do with this (esl) looks to me that you are acting as a Democrat bringing the race card out for no need
This is a photography forum if you don’t like a post simply do not respond if you like it just give your two cents
God bless you

My Nikon Df is even older than the D750 and yet Nikon is still selling it and no there is no discount on the Df.
I think the love affair with the Df has to do with the controls and feel. I know I like mine for these reasons. I feel more confident with it despite its 16mp sensor. Guess there's enough like me that sales are not necessary to keep them moving. I even think about buying a spare, but then realize that GAS has to conquered like any other addiction.

My reply included that portion of your
original posting which includes those
misapplied terms. So any mention of
your possible confusion, or problems
with vocabulary, are appropriate in a
reply to your original question. What
is in question is whether you actually
understand your original post, as it's
written and so as it's read by others.
And the possibility remains that it's
actually written in pidgin Trollische.

It just may be possible that the D750 reached a certain standard that delays its obsolescence beyond normal. Not that I have any problem with its shutter, but, the only thing I might want to change on mine is the new shutter technology that the D850 has. I don't want to change its 24mp sensor; (sometimes, I get 34mp, at max res RAW), and I prefer its versatility, (built-in flash, tilt-able screen, light weight, high DR, reasonable price etc.) to any other FF camera out there. The 5 years since its introduction haven't diminished its value as a fine photography machine in the least. On the current special deals, it is 1/3 the price of a D850, but certainly is NOT 1/3 the value.

I think they should have upgraded it with the technology in the D500; better autofocus, higher frame rate, faster memory cards. But I think they are suffering from the megapixel wars. Personally, I do not want more than 24mp in normal use. That would be the difference for me between an updated D750 and the D850. Plus, I really don't like photobanks.
Even though I own a D850, I still use my D750 + Sigma 35mm Art for a lighter-weight walk around when traveling. Great combo!

Does anybody knows why Nikon keeps promoting the D750 FX camera? This camera is around 5 years old and I would say is already obsolete what is the scoop? And by the same token the D850 which is a newer camera with the latest technology is not available anywhere? I cannot understand the logic I have the D810 trying to upgrade to the D850 but no offers anywhere
Any thoughts/input will be appreciated
It's a great D-SLR, high IQ, rugged and versatile. It's far from obsolete. Unless you are saying it's obsolete because DSLRs are but then he D850 is a D-SLR too. Or maybe you are one of those guys who always want's the newest latest thing? That's fine and you help camera companies make a profit. So that's all good. Heck just order the camera if you want it, and wait for it.
I am fortunate to have been able to expand my equipment to include a couple of very nice and capable full frame bodies over the past year or so. One is recent technology and one is the latest model available. I enjoy very much using them. While the current model has some helpful new features and functionality, the other is still very capable and has no meaningful functional limitations. There is really nothing fundamental that it cannot do that the newest one can.
I also still have and still use a couple of D300 bodies. (One is actually a D300s.) They still capture images that I find most folks appreciate and are sometimes a bit jealous of. Their focus system still performs fine, and their metering systems are still right on. They don't work well for night sky photography, and they have limited wide angle capability because of the crop sensor format. And the manufacturer has chosen to stop supporting them with repair parts, but I was able to download and install updated firmware not too long ago. There will come a time when something goes wrong that my local repair shop will not be able to fix. Depending on what that is, they might have to be retired at that time. But by no stretch of the imagination do they need to be discarded or replaced right now or even soon.
