Hello Peter:
I did a little research about the lens and find out that the lens would work on my D810 but I have to do the focusing and aperture manually and also have to
set the camera on Manual mode. I'm a little old to remember those adjustment efficiently. I wish to pass this on to someone who is more apt to these manipulation.
I apologize for any inconvenience that I may cause you. Thank you so much for your kind attention.
Best regards,
Tung Pho
YES, just use it manually, like in the old days

Let's get clear for benefit of interested parties and the seller:
For example, the 810 user being hesitant to use an all manual
lens. The lens would NOT have forced him into ALL manual use.
The "manipulations" that the 810 user wished to avoid are NOT
necessary to its use.
Tho' one needs to focus the lens manually, which is slower than
AF but not requiring a rocket science degree, the EXPOSURE is
still handled by the camera. To some folks, exposure IS rocket
science ... but exposure will take care of itself if desired. Focus
requires no special skills. Even if your vision is imperfect, Nikon
SLRs have their "digital rangefinder" that lights up when you hit
perfect focus ... no exact judgement needed by imperfect eyes.
I have two cousins of this lens, other 2:1 ratio f/3.5 old Nikkors.
They're a pleasure to use and easy to tote. Mine are 28-50 and
and 35-70, TWIMC :-)
Also, altho the first edition 43-86 is a paper weight, this one is
the later and quite OK version, as indicated by its multicolored
DoF scales and Ai meter coupling.

Thank you for your additional comments.
