Is there an iPhone Forum? I have a question specific to iPhone and LR.
I don't think so but ask away...

Is there a way to download a limited number of photos from my iPhone/Photo to LR?
Every time I’ve tried this is downloads everything even duplicates. (3000+ photos)

I download my iPhone images to photos on my MacBook Pro. Then I copy them to a thumb drive and then import to LR on a different computer

Under what theory? That cell phone cameras are not really cameras and the images they produce are not photographs? That is not correct.

It's still photography, even if you resent it.

Why, do people in chitchat use iPhones?
Lousy advice!!!

MT, so very unusual for you to be this way. Hope you are doing well and this is not a reflection on how your day is/was....
Maybe you could have that argument in chit chat. Still interested in an answer. I’ve seen and take awesome pictures with my iPhone when my Nikon d810 is with me.

Go to photos and find the photos you want.
Click on "Select" at the top of the screen.
Click on the photos and they will get a checkmark superimposed on them.
At the bottom of the screen click on the box with an up-arrow coming from it. That will let you do something with the selected photos: text, email, shared albums, and other things.
When I want photos to go to LR, I download them first to the computer that holds the LR program. That can be by email (I'm using a PC for LR). Then I save the image files on the PC. Then I import them into LR.
Thanks. That’s great info.

Maybe it was joke?
You know that on rare occasions iPhones are used to make phone calls during which people "chitchat". I know most of us seldom use a cellphone for actual calls anymore, but there are some antiquarians out there who still actually talk to other people.
