Craig, the Australia tour was in 2017. You should have been able to see when the photos were taken in the descriptive information below them. I was with a tour group, so when and where was pretty well set.

I guess there are more than one AMTRAK heading south from Chicago. My train left Chicago in the early afternoon and I got off at Walnut Ridge, Arkansas around 0100 in the morning. I think that train was called the Texas Flyer, or something like that. I've taken that train twice--in 2005 and 2014. Both times it was to attend a reunion of cousins in Arkansas, as an interruption of longer auto trips from Dallas, Texas to points north. (I just left my car in Chicago while I diverted via train to Arkansas.)

It's a shame that you didn't have a camera until late in life. I bought my first one (Kodak Baby Brownie) in 1960--I was 22 years old and at my first USAF duty station. I've been taking photos ever since.
