I have three cameras and 50 lenses. I have no idea why I bought them. Which one should I take? What should I do with them when I get there? Please advise.

Without knowing which are the 3 cameras and the lenses I would say take them all.

From what I've seen here on UHH it all depends on where you're going. Apparently people feel that you'll need a different lens for each different countries.

You missed the point and humor by a mile. Reread the title!

Time to ditch them all and begin again--see how long it will take you to get back to where you are now.

Wow I'm in the exact same quandary. So I just decided to give up photography and learn to sketch. I'll be able to take a sketch pad and couple pencils with me wherever I go, instead of draging around all that weight. I will have full control of the depth of field, lighting, background blur. Only problem is my subjects probably won't always sit still long enough. I'll be sketching in black and white only, but I can always convert to color in post processing when I get back home. I think it's a perfect solution for you.

My first response too. Then I thought, "Naw, they'd just clutter up their lives again. Y'know, 3 bandsaws, 14 drills, 5 sanders, etc for woodworking, as an example." :-)

Quite honestly, you need to add at least two more DSLR's, and maybe another 13 lenses. You also can't leave any equipment at home. The day you leave one lens behind, you will have at least a dozen opportunities for that one to get "the shot".

You also need to hire a bearer, or two, or three...

Ask admin if you can start a new section called 'Photography Lite'.....When you post an image there.....no-one is allowed to say 'helpfully' you used the wrong lens.

If this is what he looks like now, just imagine what he'd look like if he followed your suggestion!

YES! The fun is in the acquisition. Just owning is boring
