My son was giving me some crap as I was sorting through my equipment. He noticed that I have all my camera batteries lettered. I have six, lettered A-F. When he asked me why I told him I use them in order, A through F as they run down and get recharged. So, for example, when D comes out of the camera, E goes in and D goes straight to the charger. He laughed at me and called me anal.
I just want to keep usage and charge cycles even across all the batteries.
Anyone else manage their batteries in a similar way? Or am I just weird?
Dennis
Sounds like a great idea to me, Dennis. I'll put it into use. (Maybe I'm weird also?)

I do the same with cameras, drones, anything that takes rechargeable batteries. I also do the same with SD cards at least once a week. I happen to do it with numbers tho......đ Nothing at all weird about properly exercising rechargeable batteries or SD cards.
Yah---
Do the same damn thing with fewer batteries ---
Mine are 1,2 & 3

Yes my kid gives me crap about this & many other
No battery ordering, but I have 5 pairs of Ecco sandals that are in order on a shelf. As a pair is worn from left to right, they are replaced facing the opposite direction. Ditto for lots of other things but Iâm definitely not OCD!
Only makes sense to do batteries that way. Does the boy rotate shoes ?????
Mine have numbers 1-6 on them... same reason.

Youâve just prompted me to go label my batteries - thanks! Btw, my son says that Iâm very analytical, but anal is probably applicable as well. One thing the âcomputer ageâ has forced on us is to be precise (if you werenât already) - putting a comma where a period belongs just wonât work - you have to be exactly right.

A bit too organized for me. I keep batteries in a dual Tenba holder. I keep charged batteries in the pouch with contacts down. Once they are use, I turn the contacts up in the holder.
I number my batteries as well so I know what to rotate

I actually go a few steps further - I use 1/2" sticky dots. For my four cameras that all use different styles (but two are similar looking) I use Alpha-Numerical so A1, B1, C1, etc. is main camera, A2, B2, C2 is back-up camera, and A3, B3 & A4, B4, etc. are cameras I seldom use. Then I also put DATE battery was received, ie. 02-14-16 (although starting over would leave out Day). Because I buy 3rd party batteries, this has helped me to determine Wasabi and Watson are good companies, a few earlier purchases weren't. (Have just bought two Kastar so will be interested to see how they hold up, although well-reviewed on-line) To me, not anal, common sense.

Never wives but in an earlier life girl-friends.

Urban legend has it that a NASA mission failed because a Fortran statement was DO 10 I = 1.50 instead of DO 10 I = 1,50
I do number my memory cards, but not my camera batteries, as I don't have all that many.
