Question? Should I stay away from 42nd Street Camera, Pos reviews mostly and when I talked to them, they did give me two quotes, grey market and US warranty. Any good or bad experiences I should be aware of?
Far away. Buy something, they always call, not just to up sell, but tell you things like lens caps are extra. Good chance it's gray, or refurbished and they forget to tell you.
Do I sense a little GAS, saz?? If I were in your shoes I would get the camera I really want!

This is just my opinion, but no matter what Canon does the camera I wouldn't trust it for important work. So get the Mk2 and use the "old" one as a back up. (it's what you wanted to do any way)
They have their sources they use also it's what i paid for it two years ago, who am I to argue?
If you are going to replace the camera, I would advise staying away from any chance you might get a grey market camera. There are dealers that advertise great prices on new cameras but they don't tell you they are grey market. I have had personal grief having been given a grey market tablet. No support, ever, from any source. The manufacturer will even disavow any knowledge of the unit. Others have written about the same issue.
No, no, no on 42nd St Camera. Rip off artists!
Just an addendum. Had canon return the camera, saving my $$ for the MKII, should have it after the first. Just for fun I put the bad lens and camera, the ones I fell into the water with, took some pretty decent pictures, they both actually worked. Will take it to Yosemite next month and maybe get that shot I was trying to get when I fell in, what harm (except for me) could I do. Just kidding, staying out of rivers. I'll use the both until they die. Thank you all, so much for your advice. Anybody want to buy a lens and camera(:
Just a recap, I did buy the Mark II, on it's way. Went back to Yosemite this last week. I used the camera and lens that I fell into the water with last time I went. Pic seems good to me? But again never know where the water went and how long it will last? Thank You all so much for your help.
