Great shots! As a confirmed "Mountain Man" I always appreciate these iconic mountain images, even if I have seen similar shots previously. Great composition.

Great series James, I really like the one with the airplane.

I know...isn't that cool. Here I was surrounded by the beauty of these magnificent peaks when all of a sudden I see a plane cruising by. At first I thought this might be one of those tourist sighting seeing planes. Once I saw it was an airline passenger plan, then it dawned on me...nearby Jackson Hole has a airport and they were on approach for landing there.

All I can say is that it was a once in a lifetime capture, great shot.

This is a wonderful set of images. I have seen many images of two of the barns from every possible angle, but these are in a class by themselves. I now know what the areas around the homesteads look like. Thank you for these excellent images.

Without question the best pictures I've seen of this area. I've been through the area several times and these pictures do the area proud.

Thanks for sharing these wonderful images. We were totally set to go there on a prearranged photo shoot and just days before I became ill and my Doctor advised against travel. I may never get there now as I turn 80 next year. Your shots are the next best thing. Don Z.

Thanks for posting the pictures so I could finally get a great view of the Tetons..

I have skied at Jackson Hole three times for a week each time and only once have I ever seen Grand Teton. That was on the last visit while I was walking to the plane that took us home.

In the winter the Elk Refuge is full of so the backdrop of your pictures would have numerous animals in view. Great place to take pictures.

Outstanding photo set. Appears that you are having a ball being at a location and having the time to set up wonderful compositions and exposures.

Yep, got out of Nashville for a trip out West. Spent a little time in Estes Park Colorado, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone and Mt. Rushmore. Now I finally got some new stuff to show off other than concrete buildings. Had a great time, but was nice to get home though. It's true..."there's no place like home". Especially if you want to sleep well.

Yes, had a great time. A great place to practice the hobby of photography. Photo opps everywhere. My experience at trying to make crappy stuff here at home look good gave me the experience that help me with these scenes. Only these were a lot more fun to process.

Hi Folks, a few more photos of our visit to the Grand Tetons. Today we visited Mormon Row which contains remnants of the buildings Mormon settlers established in the early 1900's but later abandoned. This place in a region called Antelope Flats, has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places and is probably the most photographed area of the Grand Tetons. I slipped in one picture showing tourist streaming in by the carloads. It's easy to get to and there is parking and even a restroom. I had a great time here.

James, as I said on Part 1, I doubt I will ever make it there but your photography talent is taking me there. Thank you so ver much.

I have lots more candid type shots of tourist standing around these buildings. From children to pro's photographers, the whole range was visiting while I was there. I don't want to hog space on UHH, so didn't post any of those. I don't have a problem waiting for folks to clear the area. I can shoot test shots while waiting, then I get my shots when they leave.

Thanks Greg, I'll have one more set of Grand Teton in a few days. These will be the ones with lakes in the foreground, and that will end my series so as not to take to much valued 1st page space from the regular folks that post here on UHH. Stay tuned for the final set in a day or two.
