Nebraska Panhandle and Badlands

Took a week long trip into the panhandle of Nebraska and the Badlands of South Dakota a couple of weeks ago and it was a green oasis. Normally all I have seen of it, it is usually brown and dry but the May rains were kind to it this year.
During the trip I got a fresh copy of Our Iowa Magazine and found out I made the cover of the current issue (a goal of mine for some time) which paid for my trip out west. Good trip all around.
I have always said to get off and stay off the interstates there is so much out there to see even in the so called "fly over" states.

I'm a little bit in awe. I'd even be moreso if more were off-centered like #'s 1 & 3 (but please, chalk that up to little more than 'different strokes,' nothing more). I'm not much for 'bucket lists' and all that, but driving across NB/IA a couple years ago --and your killer reminder images-- has me, well.....

Having lived in Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota most of my life, you’ve done a fine job of making me very homesick. Also, the pictures are amazing!

Glad you enjoyed them. We may not have mountains and oceans but there is still a lot for a photographic eye to see.
