I'm trying to print 8x10 and the printer keeps printing a small print instead of the size i want it to print. It is doing this even when I tried a 13x19 size print. What I'm I doing wrong?

Hi, give us some more detail like what program you are using to print and I am sure many will try and help.

We know nothing about what programs you are printing from. We know nothing about your settings. We know nothing about what you have done to the images before printing.

1. go to the Canon support site and download all the latest free firmware and software for your Pro-100. Including Print Studio Pro do the same for your PP programs.
2. install or upgrade the software, including Print Studio Pro and the updates to your PP programs. do Print Studio Pro last.
3. check the manuals or an online source for recommended settings then go through the menus and set them that way.
4. go through Print Studio Pro and check every setting

Try a print using Print Studio Pro (it is made to work with the Pro-100 and comes in a Mac version), if it works correctly then things are OK. If it does not print correctly then come back, with a list of all programs, settings etc and we might have a chance to help you.

As it is now we would need a crystal ball and a wee gee board since we know nothing except the print sizes are coming out wrong and you are using a Mac.

I just did some research and found that Photos from Mac is not meant to be a replacement for Aperture or an alternate for a full fledged PP program. You need to upgrade. I would suggest Photoshop Elements for Mac. It doesn't even have to be the latest version, any of the last two or three would be a major upgrade from Photos. And you can get Elements 2018 from Walmart for $89. Elements has "Quick" (fully automated), "Guided" mode where you select from a menu of things you want to do and it then guides your step by step on how to do it. Beyond that is the full "Expert" mode. It integrates with Print Studio Pro for printing.

You are going to have to change the settings. Make sure you are either printing from your software, ie. Lightroom or the printer itself, not both. You can only use one or the other. Make sure your profile for the paper is correct. Go into printer properties and check borderless printing. Put on zoom to fill, from there you have to play with the settings of the borders to get it even as it will print slightly off either with the length or the width. Maybe go .15 or anywhere between .25 across the board. Make sure you center your photo before clicking print and if using lightroom, make sure you have print preview on. With some tweaking you'll be able to print

Have you changed the print size settings in the printer settings or are you just changing the print size settings in Photos? You may have to do your set up in the printer settings. I had some issues similar to this and had to make adjustments in printer setting to make it go away. Good Luck.

I have noticed that with printing from lightroom ( which I think has nothing to do with this) That the leading edge border is slightly smaller than the rest on the Canon pro 1oo.

I also use a canon pro 100 and use it so infrequently that I have to re-learn settings each time. I, also, have had a problem getting it to print the correct size. I find there are multiple places to set the size and often I have the wrong paper size or something set. Sorry, not much help I guess.

Call Canon support, 1800-423-2366, they will walk you through the process step by step. If you need any software upgrades they will also help. In any event, they stay on the phone until the problem has been completely resolved. They are great, which is why I have four Canon printers.

I have found with certain printers that I need to set the print size in the pp program AND at the printer itself.

Got similar problems with an Epson. I'm betting there's a little sub menu hidden away somewhere that allows you print to media size - or a separate menu offering you the chance to size the print in % terms on the selected media.

If your using LR , go to File , page set up & go thru the options. Change your paper size. In the print menu it should show a preview. You might have to drag the lines ( like pulling a windows screen larger ) outward to make the pic larger in the preview. Also in the panel on the right in the print panel there is an option , zoom to fill. Can't help with the Canon print studio. I used when I first got the printer but now it says LR is not valid version (lr 6 ) & will not open. I need to call Adobe. Anyway go to you tube & watch sone of Jose Rodriguez ( jToollman ) vids on the pro 100.

Good luck.

Ps. I went through this too when I first started printing.
