Went to a Pink Floyd cover band concert ("Brit Floyd") on Saturday. Great cover band, incredible lightshow. They did several songs from "The Wall". Here's a YouTube clip from the movie....sometimes I wonder if the world will return to this kind of inhumanity. Some call these neo-Nazis right wing, some call them left wing.... I know they are evil. It is scary watching someone's fear come to art.

Ever hear of the word mockery.

Don’t think it’s mockery Dirt. Not sure if it was Roger Waters or a band mate who lost his father in WWII. Another song, not from “The Wall” is “When the tigers broke free” (Panzer Tigers).

Not mockery; lifelong anger and angst. Here is a video of the song and what the child still feels.

If that's what you like, I'm glad you can find it. I prefer a "Dead" concert and the people who attend it. I attended a lot of shows (not in comparison to people who followed them across the country and around the world) and I never saw a single fight.

Or it could be exposing reality. To promote not want to repeat.

Dead were cool; I think some of the members are touring as “Dead Again” but might wrong. I enjoy all types of music but rap... can’t get into it. Going to a NC Symphony concert next month where they will play the soundtrack to the movie Amadeus as it plays on a large stage screen. Lots of varied musical interests... and don’t get me going about reading - I average a book a week when binging (which is often).

Retirement is a beautiful thing 👍

I missed that vid! I missed the whole MTV thing. I entered with youtube in complete archive mode. Beyond radio hits, I don't much about Pink Floyd. PF is sort of like Aussie band Midnight Oil for me, I like the message but I want different music.

Early this year Roger Waters had a lot of press for his Aussie tour but I somehow missed him in Brisbane. I've seen a few vids of what he does these days and I'm sorry I missed him.

Pink Floyd was an amazing group and their videos were both legendary and first rate!
Yes they portrayed some real horrors whether intended or not. Scarily our country is as close to those horrors right now than it’s ever been before.
The skinheads are emboldened and visible and our government and free press is under attack for personal gain.
Eroding a country to protect a few is as scary as it gets.
Like Pol Pot, empowering the most uneducated to rise against the educated pillars to reverse the future!!!

Great video, but in answer to your question, just evil. I would consider myself as left of centre. Someone who's right of centre, may consider me to be more left than I would consider myself. Once these extremes are reached, left and right no longer applys . It's my way or the wrong way. And that can never be a good thing.

You’ve got it... extremism in any form generally results in repugnant anti-social behavior.

(That is “repugnant” and not an intimation or denigration of any mainstream political party.)

So sad that you had to add that disclaimer. It's probably a good thing that you did, but it's still sad.

Notice the cross wrists chanting? Reminded me of the lock her up chants at the trump rallies.

Agreed yet I felt it is the best way to avoid the needless mudslinging that so often affects threads intended to be non-partisan.

(ps - the use of the phrase "so sad" is not lost on me)

So true. And it doesn't help to have a president who eggs on the Nazis. But likely, it is because of his ignorance of history or the fact that his father hung with that type.
