That's just the kind of yard I like, but I am willing to hack a path to the door, partly to avoid chiggers and ticks. Not only does the yard seem very pretty in an non-manicured form; one need not mow it! I wonder if it's really abandoned: I see an electric cable going from it, presumably to the street.

There is an electric line, but if you look closer I think it is not connected.

It must have an alternative address. The county assessor shows Murfreesboro Pike ending at #2743. An MLS search shows that a property described at this address was for sale at $200,000 about two years ago. I'm still guessing that it's bank owned.

That can't be right, addresses on Murfreesboro Pike should run as high as 4298 where the Davidson County line occurs at Hurricane Creek. At least that's according to Google Maps. Aerial views on Google seem to show a couple of outbuildings, the driveway is circular behind the house indicating someone put a lot of thought into it. There also appears to be a pool at the left side of the house behind the fence. It's probably in really bad shape by now. There is a land for sale sign in front indicating it is available for commercial use. Perhaps it was bought by someone in the past to use as a commercial development that failed before they could tear down the house. Who knows...still a mystery!

Thanks, a drive by shot from the car Jim...I've learned to keep shutter speeds high when traveling in the car.
