I think the father's mistake was perhaps the most egregious.

I eat at a Waffle House about once a week and I've never felt threatened.

Waffle House is a "gun free zone". They do not permit CCW holders permission to carry on premises, unless you are LEO.
He shot through the main windows at people before entering to continue.
The man who stopped the perp is a hero, and should be lauded by all.

Not all of them. The one I frequent does not have any "no guns" signs. Whether that had any impact on this incident is not material--the "gun free zone" sobriquet should not be applied to all Waffle House restaurants.

With no disrespect I do not get a whole collective thought here? What you might be saying, correct me if I'm wrong, that racism is present?

First, the feds were not involved with the guns. It would have been the state or local authorities, because no federal crimes were committed by this person prior to the removal of the guns. Any involvement of Feds would only be notifying them, if they did that.

in his case there was a Federal crime that resulted in the feds revoking his right to own firearms.
The FBI and secret service apprehended him last year after he breached a security barrier at the White house.

Check your facts. There was no federal crime and Illinois revoked his permit.

NOWHERE did that response say that the NRA broke the law. That only happened in your mind - Freudian slip, perhaps? I just LOVE how you conservatives have to make up shit just to hear yourself talk/type instead of dealing with FACTS.

BTW - your juvenile misspelling of BREAK as BRAKE is, perhaps, another Freudian slip, because the NRA does BRAKE sensible laws all the time.

And the left never lies? Give me a brake. Talk about juvenile pointing out spelling and grammar errors most likely caused by auto correct is more juvenile. And yes I did the brake thing on purpose to make a point to your juvenile mind.
