SS you are probably the only Canon shooter there! All those white lenses are Sony. The Sony 70-200’s and 100-400’s for FF mirrorless are white just like yours. You have to listen closely to hear the 20 FPS shutters. Ha Ha!!
They were at a more important pro event, instead of a bike race. You don't need a pro level Olympus EM1 Mark ll shooting 18 fps to shoot a bike race.
Everybody saw the website that showed the arsenal of Nikon and Canon cameras that were on hand at the 2018 Winter Olympics. It looks like they were about equally represented. Sony's new A9 is designed to compete head to head with Nikon's D5 and Canon's 1DX Mk.II. I'm not sure if pro photographers have adopted mirrorless cameras yet. Nikon has announced they will be releasing a full frame and a cropped sensor mirrorless camera. I think Canon will be also. I understand that the Canon M50 mirrorless has been a little underwhelming. Maybe the upcoming mirrorless cameras will be better received.

I love my Canon, but I finally took the plunge and I am now waiting for my new A7iii. Haha!

You canon snob you! You must be somewhat blind as well, so no other cameras other than Your brand, hummm. And than you are so closed minded about Mu-43 systems, I’m glad I don’t think like you my fellow hog. So now you should crawl out from under your rock and see what you’re missing!

I shoot with a Canon guy here in Florida that has just semi switched to a Sony with a 100-400 mm lens and it shoots at 20 FPS, it is hard for me to get my head around that speed. Plus, he can switch to silent mode and you don't hear a thing, kind of weird.
He has the Canon 600 f4 with full frame Canon camera (don't know the model) So far he is really impressed with his new system, he said there are things on the Canon that are better than the Sony and things on the Sony that are better than his Canon. But, he says, he is adjusting and he really likes the weight of the Sony with the 100-400 lens attached.

That’s right guys, I’m looking for all those mirrorless cameras and haven’t seen one yet! I’m talking about serious cameras, not little toy 4/3’s!
I’m on assignment at Laguna Seca(bicycle races) and there are 250 official photographers here. Been here two days and haven’t seen a mirrorless yet. To be honest, haven’t seen a Nikon either!!! LoL
ALL Canons and mostly 70-200’s.
So where are all those mirrorless cameras? If you know where to find them, please let all of us that never see them, know!!!?
On Sunday I shoot the dual slalom event. It has the most photographers.
Maybe I’ll see one on Sunday? Maybe!?! I’ll cross my fingers and keep you posted! LoL

You need to stalk them at higher class events!
Poor SS. Feeling lonely and ignored. So he seeks some attention. Sad.
Well, they are smaller, so they might be harder to see👍😀
People tend to see what they want to see.
It is true that at almost every major event, including football games, the big boys are shooting almost exclusively with Canons and Nikons. I have never seen a mirrorless in there, but the new Sony seems to have the specs to keep up and join the duo. Mirrorless cameras have other uses, such as street photography. I am a Canon full frame and crop sensor guy but I previously had a Sony NEX-6 with the diminuitive 16-50 lens that was great for a walk around combination and I am thinking of investing in the one of the new Panasonics for the same purpose. But for shooting a wedding or other big event, it will always be with the Canons.
