Huntington Beach Wetlands. Great birding and landscape spot. Easy to get to and between your two destinations points. Salton Sea has some interesting features, though much of it is a barron wast land. Its also a 300 mile R/T drive from LA or Orange county, so keep that in mind.
Try Palos Verdes/San Pedro. Lighthouses, parks, cliffs (birds), Port of LA, and much more.
It’s very low. Shoreline receding. But not dry. At least not this week.

this would be my suggestion as well.
Strongly suggest you go to San Diego in place of some of your Orange County places.
Torrey Pines, Sunset Beach, Mission Beach, La Jolla downtown all have great photo opportunities (plus it's a much less frantic place with less smog, less crime and less traffic).
An ex-San Diego resident (for complex reasons!)
Might try Leucadia, between San Diego and LA, for the flower fields.
As a long time resident of San Diego, I would agree....lots of photo ops. Not too much in Orange County, except coastal areas.
...well, look, you're on the coast so any ideas that involve desert or Salton Sea (which is very cool, especially if one includes Salvation Mountain and Slab City with the Kama Sutra Tanks) will cost you lots of time and, normally, traffic headaches. Just stay next to the ocean as much as you can...it's a hop and skip from Torrance to check what San Pedro (USS Iowa and the harbor on that side) and Long Beach (The Queen Mary, Pike and surrounding sights) have to offer, then the Bolsa Chica wetlands and Huntington Beach Pier are close to each other and handy, then just down the road to Newport (it's harbor is *very* interesting) then Corona Del Mar Beach has many different views, then Laguna Beach the art town down here and very scenic. From Laguna Beach you can access CA 133 and go inland a bit to your Laguna Woods destination (and this is very easily done). And *then* you have the beautiful San Diego area after/before your Escondido glass adventure. So, all that said, time is not your friend and you have to make a choice or three. Good luck and safe travels.

...oh, there're plenty of photo ops here in OC that non residents wouldn't know of. But you can fill a memory card or five in Disneyland alone, and everyone knows about that. Downtown LA is a feast...just start at Union Station and walk...

One night to a ball game in Anaheim, one day to a glass blowing class in Escondido.
Can I get some suggestions on places to go get some good photos in that area.
I'm traveling light,D5300 with Tamron 18-400,unless some one can tell me the necessity for a specific lens.
All suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

First of all, Angel Stadium in Anaheim (Northern Orange County) has specific restrictions on camera and lens size that you will find on their website. Your 400mm will not make it through the gate.
Disregarding Disneyland, which is also in Anaheim, and Knott's Berry Farm in adjacent Buena Park (my home town), Laguna Woods is in Southern Orange County, not too far from the Great Park in Irvine, where you can go up in a huge tethered helium filled balloon for some great aerials. The gondola holds many people and the cost is only $10. You will not be too far from the Pacific Ocean, so I would go from the Great Park to Newport Beach and Balboa Island where there are numerous photo Ops. Also, since you will cross the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) which is less than a mile from Balboa, you can drive up or down PCH for more photo Ops including boats of every description and miles of beaches. In fact, if you are staying in Torrance, you could follow PCH North on your return trip.
