Wagging Tongues....
I like your sense of humor my friend, for all the dogs sticking their tongues out. At you?? Very nice doggie shots!!!!!

Beautiful clear shots Vicky . . . but I do know your secret. Take them for a 1/2 mile run first.
So lovely pictures.
On first and especially second one I still can see remaining brush strokes from (I guess) Photoshop, but nevertheless these are great pictures.
Beautiful doggy portraits, Vicki! And yes, #2 is definitely a winner in the long tongue contest!

Or more dog portraits. I'm still experimenting and was amused by how long some of the dogs' tongues are. The second dog may be the winner. Enjoy and have some chuckles.
Doggone excellent portraits...love the sec shot!

These are really good. My friend the Pro Pet Photographer tells me the hard part is getting the animal's attention and minimizing distractions.
I've been getting candid shots at a dog park where there are plenty of subjects. Usually their attention is elsewhere, but the expressions can be interesting. I suspect an owner would want better poses if they were paying for shots. Getting a dog's attention is fairly easy. Keeping them in one spot isn't. Most don't "sit, stay" very well especially with so many distractions in this kind of setting. With a long lens, I don't worry about it too much.
Thanks for taking time to look and comment.

Vicki, these are really lovely portraits!
I've been having lots of fun with candid dog shots Carol. The owners aren't even aware I'm taking shots of their dogs and no model releases are needed.
Thanks for taking time to visit and comment. I appreciate it.

I never know what I'm going to get at the dog park. Some of the same dogs come regularly, but I've been seeing some new visitors depending on when I go.
I'm glad you enjoyed these Bill. Thanks so much.

Vicki, An enjoyable set of photos and you are correct. Number two for sure has the longest tongue.
Greg
I couldn't believe the length of that dog's tongue when I downloaded my shots. If he'd had shorter legs, he would have tripped over it.
Thanks for the thoughtful reply Greg.
