Wow !!! I had no intention of stirring up a Hornet's Nest, and would not have made the Original Post if I had known it would create such controversy,,,,So I apologize to everyone for that,,,However I have learned some very valuable lessons from many of You,,,such as the GPS on my Cell Phone Picture allowing the Location of my Home if I had known that could so easily be accessed I would have never posted about going on Vacation for five days,,,,by the way home now,,,,no break ins and nothing stolen,,,,also posting images of gear,,,,although nothing too fancy or expensive perhaps it is not the best idea and that is sad because even though we can discuss and compare gear it is more fun with pictures or photos....As long as Someone isn't Shooting at Me I try to get along with Most Everybody,,,,Thanks to Everyone for Your Comments....

Even though the thread went sideways it did have some educational value in unexpected ways.

It's sometimes very interesting how threads can twist and turn in unpredictable ways.

Your Comments were some of the most Logical and Educational,,,makes me wonder about taking pictures with cell phones,,,,I really like that cell phones track location from GPS when I am asking directions to an Address,,,but I never realized the EXIF data would give my location on my pictures and if the pictures were taken at Home a quick search of County Assessor Office would give address and my Name,,,,Great Heads Up by You,,,,if I had taken the picture with a Camera with GPS turned off or a Camera with no GPS could You have found my Location and Identity ??? Thanks for Your Very Useful Information !!!

You are very welcome, and I'm glad you found it useful. I make sure that my mobile phone only has location information activated for the apps that I wish to use that capability for. Camera is not one of those. I hope that I didn't cause you any unnecessary distress, but so many people are unaware. Having had my house burgled after a trip away, I have some sensitivity to these issues.

Although name calling is not a good or defensible thing in most cases, I'm actually sad that Jim Bob had his account suspended. I don't really know what that means, temporary or permanent. I've had a prominent 'so called professional' call me an idiot and worse, yet he's still an active member of UHH. Calling me an idiot is water off a duck's back as far as I'm concerned, but I'll miss Jim Bob. He added a little spice to the mix.

Anyhow, take good care, and perhaps some of us have learned a few things.

Now, perhaps, you might post a few pics!
