I tend to agree. We are eating with too much fat and too much carbohydrates. A little bit of each will not hurt anyone. Too much fried food in our diets.

Yep, that is what struck me about it - just about everyone in that picture is significantly overweight.

Thank God it only the ears we have to eat. Good photo, I have noticed on our markets that it as always the fast food stalls that seem to do better than the marketeers.

An elephant ear is a humongous flat slab of sweet dough that has been deep fried and then sprinkled with powdered sugar - a heart attack on a paper plate! BTW - I've never had one.

Thanks! It is an interesting shot but a rather sad social commentary about how people are drawn to unhealthy, fattening food.

Well, my goodness, this could have been shot right here in Alabama. As a matter of fact I think I recognize some of those folks, particularly those two on the left side of the photo.
Good work Sue, I ordinarily don't care for photos with the subjects backs to the camera, but this seems quite appropriate.
