well only if that stick is properly registered, has no out of state plates or stickers, meets the rules and regulations for voter eligibility and ONLY if the hand holding it is male and white.

Doc, The truth may set you free but it also pisses off a lot of people.
Keep it up.

Hey Robert! I notice there's been no disputing of any facts stated in the article/editorial/op-ed (or whatever). I guess when the facts are clear someone must attack the ink, or type of paper it's written on.

Some serious questions to the group:

1. Does anyone think a person should be allowed to vote who IS NOT properly registered?

2. Should someone from out-of-state be allowed to vote other than "absentee"?

3. Should anyone be allowed to vote who DOES NOT meet the rules and regulations for eligibility?

4. Can anyone show evidence that ONLY white males are allowed to vote in the US?

Voting is probably the greatest right and responsibility we have in this country, so be careful when you're chipping away at the very underpinnings of our republic. It may fall on YOU!

A quote we've seen often recently, from a man who succeeded at what so many seem to be trying:

"It's not the people who vote that count. It's the people who count the votes." (Josef Stalin)

Seeing that this article came from The Wall Street Journal told me right off that it would be a right-wing, anti-President Obama screed.

I believe that evaluation of such nonsens should begins by examining the source of the information one is asked to consider.

Clearly the WSJ is a biased mullet wrapper that's dedicated to boosting the claims and fears currently extant among those American's who make their living extorting money from those who are foolish enough to believe them.

Judging from the institutional deceit leveled against America by these barons of plenty attests to their.cupidity and total disregard for the common good.

All the best,

Martin

I thought "We the people" elected him .... from these exchanges .... a foreigener would think Obama was appointed by someone from outer space ..... I think that all of these anti Omaba exchanges are by people who didn't vote for Obama and never would under any circumstances ... they are the same people who voted for G.W. Bush .... and would have voted for Warren G. Harding .... GREAT CHOICES GUYS!!!!!!!

Yes! let’s kill the messenger. Docrob should be ridiculed, the Wall Street Journal is a rag, the people are stupid.

Here we go with the usual Democrat/liberal/socialist response. Which one of the articles statements is untrue? All you blind supporters of the Anointed One should go out and buy his books. Then do something like READ them. Better yet listen to his audio books and hear him say with his own voice that he is a socialist and hates this country. Listen to him talk about his extensive drug use and his radical, let’s destroy America friends.

If you people ever wake up this forum will get real boring.

First .... The Wall Street Jounal is NOT a rag if it is used for the ourpose it was intended ..... it is a financial newspaper like IBD ... it becomes a rag when readers forget its area of expertise and place disproportant value on the papers opinions when it enters the area of social policy and politics ... remember ... Rupert Murdoch has a political adgenda ... and it is reflected in the Journal ... remember his biased editorials in the British newspapers he owned .... before the scandal hit his publishing empire in Great Britain .... he could make or break a candidate .... so given his ownership of the Journal ... I would be suspicious of any article on the editorial or op-ed page of The Wall Street Journal ... What does Murdoch want?

Again, simple questoin: Which one of the points the writer made is wrong? I could care less about Murdoch or the WSJ. My point is that you libs frequently attack the messenger and rarely acknowledge the actual arguement.

An op-ed piece is an opinion, just like yours on this forum. It could be argued that UHH is a photography forum, as WSJ is a business forum, and therefore any political opinions stated here are of no value.

he's the same guy who said President OBama was going to create an internal army to suppress the people only to learn it was a suggestion to increase the Peace Corp!

I heard Obama’s speech pertaining to the "suggested increase to the Peace Corp" when he made it. "We need a civilian army as well trained and armed as our military" was what Obama said. That sounds like the National Guard not the Peace Corp. After being informed about the National Guard and its place in the scheme of things he dropped the subject. Shortly after that, the speech disappeared from the archives. It can't be found today.

He made that speech early in his first campaign and when I heard it, I realized just how dangerous this guy is. It was a splash of cold water that made me start paying more attention to his words.

So the writer is known to dislike Obama. You are known to like him. Does that mean what you say is prejudiced as well?

Again, simple question: what point did the writer make that is wrong?

[quote=Robert Graybeal]A "deadly" article regarding Obama, at the Wall Street Journal, which today is the most widely circulated newspaper in America .

Article from the Wall Street Journal - by Alan Caruba:

"I have this theory about Barack Obama. I think he's led a kind of make-believe life in which money was provided and doors were opened because at some point early on somebody or some group (George Soros anybody?) took a look at this tall, good looking, half-white, half-black, young man with an exotic African/Muslim name and concluded he could be guided toward a life in politics where his facile speaking skills could even put him in the White House.
--------------------------------------------------------

Won't quote all of your most interesting and informative article. Those below your's are what they are.... "loyal democrats to a fault who are blind as a bat and who can say the world is square when it's round, expecting every one to believe it as the truth."

I dont know if age gives people wisdom, or if they remain uninformed all their lives, but when people simply cannot see what is before them, one has to judge them for their closed minds and do not intend to change.... cause they have their 'hard-hat' on and it's stuck to their skull --- permanently!
I would like to think I can see what lies before me as a disaster waiting to happen.... which I want no part of.

You say in your article where he is well spoken --- I beg to differ from you. If he has NO tele-prompter, he stutters, stammers, and pauses and repeats himself constantly. To me, that is not a good speaker... His writers have filled his tele-prompter with good stuff... and it's so laughable when he loses his place or either the tele-prompter wasn't moving fast enough and he has to pause cause he doenst know what to say till the next line of words come down to inform him.

I simply do not see how he is a good speaker... or perhaps, 'beauty is in the eyes of the beholder'..... which I do not and have never had the same eyes of others as seeing him as HANDSOME... Most people are smitten with his appearance of a FAMILY man, which to me, is seriously in doubt. Anyone can put on a good act. No wonder he mingles with the Movie Stars... cause he sure would make a good one. He certainly knows how to get his best shots and words in to the world.

He also baffles me as to why he was taking the credit for bin laden 'go ahead'... when it was Panetta who INSISTED he do it... Obama was NOT for it. And if you will notice in that picture of all the people in that room when this was taking place and Hillary sat with her hand over her mouth, Panetta was NOT in that room.... yet he was the one who INSISTED the Seals do their job. There is a link about this, and I can provide if if you let me know.

Wisdom, again, is where a lot of people are lacking... they may think they have it, but they don't. It comes with age... you learn something new every day of your life... you carry these findings with you forever. You also learn from your mistakes. At the tender ago of Obama's young 40's, he was too young and inexperienced to be even a dog catcher, much less a President!

Obama, was a 'part time' Senator.. he missed more than half the voting time, cause he was either...... too lazy to appear, or playing basket ball, or didn't figure what they were voting on was worth his time. He came breezing in the Presidency to beat Hillary... which she had by far more experience than he had in his one little finger.... yet he had a flair about him that appealed to the masses..... they were too blind to see any thing but only to hear his magical words he spewed forth. The one sentence which I remember so vividly... was when Hillary said something about not too many people liking her or something to that affect.... and he sat there.. then with his arrogant voice... said..."you're liked well enough"..... That was the most disgusting quote he had ever made... which told his true temperament and personality. He is so good at knocking people down to size... yet he blames every thing that is not in his favor on other people... He takes credit ONLY for the GOOD things that happen... his name will never appear on the bad...

Within 3 days... he had the historians come to the White House to make sure of his appointment and to give them what was to come of his Presidency and how it was to be written... How vain can one get... I couldn't believe what I was reading. He wanted to be SOMEBODY so badly, it's sickening.

http://blogs4victory.wordpress.com/2012/05/15/obama-adds-his-name-into-official-white-house-biographies-of-past-presidents/

When one of his Basketball friends in Calif.. forgot which one, but he was either Mayor of that city or something equivalent to that .. but the Inspector General knew this man was doing something illegal and he was investigating him... When Obama heard about this... he FIRED this Inspector General and replaced him with another man. That right there was a telling point of how he was to work in the future. DO NOT MESS with Obama's friends.. or you will get the 'boot'.... He did not want anyone to find out what this man was involved in that was criminal.

The same way with this Fast & Furious... he made sure he put a damper on that cause of his friend Holder.... and probably cause Obama went along with that deal ONLY cause he was wanting those gun dealers to get into trouble and would stop selling guns in this country. He hates guns... But he certainly moved to a City ... Chicago... which is loaded with guns and gangs... Chicago alone has 623 gangs..... quite a lot I might say.

So instead of blasting these lower states cause of the illegals swarming over here, he should be trying to rid the country of all the gangs which deal dope, killings daily, rape constantly, robbing stores and banks, car jackings, etc..... not only that... but costing the taxpayers of this country zillions in hospital fees and emergency rooms.... That's where all the taxpayer money goes.

Obama is a misfit of society... He bounces up and down those steps on AirForce 1... acting like a teeny bopper... wanting people to see how FIT he is. This is ALL for show and the admiring public eats it up. He woos the naive, mostly the young impressionable college students, and naive women who swoon over his impressionable voice they hear. They remind me of swooning over a movie star..... since they are so star struck...

He blasted Romney for not showing more than the last two of his Income tax. He is jealous of his money...and it shows. Look how long it took him to show his birth certificate.

Obama has no record to run on.. so he has to blast Romney for everything he can.... when you have nothing to compete the opposite with, then blast 'em into orbit!

Obama is great a twisting the truth to sell his speech... and the young and impressionable believe him. He is constantly saying we need better schools.... but not one time has he ever mentioned that it was the ONE parent homes, which allow their kids to roam the streets at night, never attending school cause they don't want to.. and the one parent home doesnt give a rip. If a child is not SHOWN the way, no amount of schooling is going to do that kid any good. No books, computers, excellent teachers, anything... will not help a child unless they have that inspiration and guidance coming from HOME. .... and all those kids who skip school or drop out in the 8th grade... fit this mold.... simply put.. they have NO guidance. .... yet Obama blames the schools and teachers...

So you can see, Obama didn't fare too well in school himself. He had no guidance from his mother either and certainly none from his absent daddy till he was 12 years old and only saw him that one time. Obama has one very good asset.... he doesn't know what the truth is so to satisfy who ever he is talking to at the moment he's gotta make it 'sound' truthful.. whether it be the masses, or just a few. He is very good at distortion and misleading!

The house he bought with the help of Rezko, who is now in prison, doesn't have Obama's name on it... go to this site and read who's names are on it.... Why, I ask? Is the Secret Service still being paid to guard a house Obama does not have his name on or lives in ???

http://www.wnd.com/2011/04/289501/

There are a lot of unanswered questions about this man, which will probably remain a mystery long after he is out of the White House. Hopefully, someone will find the truth about him, since everyone seems afraid to look into his background and reveal it to the Nation.

Links which might be of interest.......You do not have to click on any of these links.... but am putting them there just in case you have not read this stuff before.... then you can draw your own conclusion.

Your observation is not correct .... in UHH, political commentary is not associated with the main segment of the photography web site .... there can be no question as to the biasis of the writer .... if one disagrees with my posting, they dispute a posting by DEBJENROB ..... political commentary(op-ed page} in the Wall Street Journal ... is attributed to the Wall Street Journal .... not the writer who is giving his/her OWN opinion ... so when Charles Krauthammer writes an op-ed piece .... all we read from the right is that The Wall Street Journal wrote .... there is no disclaimer .... I would argue the same for the NYT .... we tend to give credibilty when none is deserved ...
