Love this frozen moment from long ago. The old gentleman in the back seat appears to perhaps rather be somewhere else? Perhaps not comfortable riding in this newly invented, as yet untried piece of equipment? The driver on the other hand appears to be a card. I think I might have enjoyed knowing both of these men. The women all appear happy on this social occasion. And everyone is all bundled up for a ride in a horseless carriage in cold weather. And don't miss the man walking in the background.
You photo is great and has a story to tell! Thanks for sharing! Its also wonderful for you that someone took the time to write the note to let us know some details. We should take a lesson ourselves for our own posterity here.

Such a happy occasion, a new toy! The first photo was the best, as it really takes one into the moment. The driver has the "official motormans' hat", the Grandfather in the back is obviously uncomfortable with the new technology, the ladies are having a moment of their lives, and the driver has the obligatory "ceegar" just like Daddy Warbucks. What a scene from the past. I just love it.

Hey Gunner, Looks like they were planning on a long trip. Extra Tires, Luggage Heavy Coats. Was apparently well planed. Looks like fun.

Also it seems they are going somewhere with the suitcase by the spare tire or is that part of the cars tools, like jack, lug nut tool and etc. I should have asked My aunts about this photo when they were alive.
