Thanks for the tip Sandy. I will definitely look into that. I know my style isn't for everyone but I'm trying hard to figure out a way to make images that speak to me that others also enjoy Man it's tough lol.

Tip. When answering reply, click on quote reply first so that we will know who you are replying to. Suzanne first thing to learn is it is YOUR style that you are developing and you don't need worry about whether all will approve. I too like to shoot different-it is what I see. Find someone with similar taste such as the two that I suggested to you, and study their work, not copy, but understand how they capture what they do. Take your camera to a spot where you might not see a lot at first to shoot, then look through the lens and drift with your camera. Sometimes when I do this, something literally catches my breath. You are not going to make shots that everyone will enjoy no more than you will enjoy all that others shoot. I love macro but just can not stomach bugs-makes my skin crawl. A major view is blurry versus sharp. Some can not stand the idea of something that is not point sharp. I personally like both but ugly's come out when this is discussed. I look forward to your posts, put you on buddy list so I can watch you grow. Just have joy in what you like and keep shooting. Check out the Close-up section of HH. Look at the very fine work of Dixiegirl and others. Sandy
Thanks. I couldn't find the second lady but I did find the first. Her work is beautiful. I am a fan of the tastefully blurred images, it gives my imagination room to play.

Looks like a very confused stock of bananas. Different anyway.

My opinion, this would be fine if it was a WW2 combat action photo.
As it is, its a no for me. IMHO, it looks more like a mistake than an artistic effort.
Have you tried the vaseline on glass hack?
It can create beautiful blurs if done correctly.
