I'm in the process of trying new things. Let me know if you think this one is working
Thanks

It would garner more replies had you clicked "store original" when downloading but you know best.

I am not sure what you are trying to convey. It's not a bad photo, it just doesn't "say" anything to me.

I'm newer at this. Not familiar with the button but will look for it next time :)

Help me out here, what are you trying to say? What is your image about?

Life passing by year after year in a dark drab world.

To me, it looks like you tried for a 3D effect but failed. The plant is blurred or double exposed. I have to say, though, when I put on my 3D glasses, it looked better; the main stalk popped out.

A good experiment in black and white.

That's odd :) I'll have to look at through 3D. I used a long exposure and an old flash. I pushed the test button several times like a strobe light just to see what would happen. I'm just looking for new ways to shoot things.
Thanks for your comments

I think if you brought up the contrast a lot it would be more interesting. The flat lighting leaves me .... flat!

Think you would enjoy Lensbabies. Google Kathleen Clemons and Andrea Gullicks. I see some beauty in what you shot. With this type of subject, I think it would benefit to back off and go vertical getting a bit of natural flow and movement, more of stem. Sandy

Thank you for that. I'll give it a try and see what happens.

I wish more people would take the time to say what it is that's lacking, that way I could learn from it. I started to think maybe it was too punchy and that was what was turning people off. Way off on that one lol.

Have a great day
