My state has for some time now but so far, B&H still does not collect it.

Just a note, some states have been requesting sales tax information from some retailers and getting it. Times are changing!

What I was referring to was a thread in the last couple weeks where it was alleged their state contacted B&H to provide a list of their residents sales that would enable state collection of taxes owed. This was confirmed by B&H. We know that collecting tax on internet sales is on the list of things to do and my remark was that surprises are coming for some and justifiably so.

My state has had a use tax since the late 40's that we must volunteer to report and pay. If they ask for and receive lists from vendors they can confirm or deny compliance.

You apparently didn't like a diplomatic explanation on the Photo Discussion section.

Interesting. I believe I have heard some rumblings along those lines. Guess we'll just have to wait and see, and like everything, enjoy it while it lasts.

Not much of a rumble, it was confirmed by a B&H spokesperson for one state.

I'm not buying any more stuff, so there!

I get paid the same rate with my D5400 as I would with a $2,000 plus camera.

Ken, hold onto the D5400. It's extremely rare. Nikon didn't make that model.

Too bad, the D5400 would have been worth a lot more on eBay. B^)
