That was not a slip on my part, but perhaps your slip is showing!

Ah, just like the 'question' you asked the 'Pros" you know the answer but want me to say something you can pick apart. Have at it if you want, you'll only keep on shrinking in apparent stature.

Can't back up your statements either. That seems to be a common issue with Ron's sycophants here.

To paraphrase Winston Churchill, I would love to continue a war of wits with you but your lack of sufficient weapons turns what should be an interesting and engaging exchange into a boring exercise in futility.

Perhaps you should ask Ron whether he thinks I am a sycophant of his? If so why would he have put me on his ignore list?
There seems to be a little narcissistic behavior going on here. Narcissi are nice flowers, but Narcissism is a less pleasant phenomenon. Who is demonstrating the problems here? So far Ron seems to to be taking a reasonable and measured response in my personal opinion. You on the other hand are digging deeper into personal insults to defend your somewhat disintegrating position.

Keep saying that enough and maybe you'll start believing it. But you've already said exactly what the new forum is ("Ron's new venture... restricting some of the more opinionated contributors)", and you're just mad that people have pointed that out.

No. I'm not mad at all. I am one of those opinionated contributors. But I support this new section. Let's see how it goes.
I am however considering whether you should be one of the UHH members that should be blocked or banned. I am very unimpressed with your contributions to this thread. I could state that sentiment much less politely, but I prefer to refrain from doing so.
Once again, you seem to have your Nikkors in a twist, and that may be affecting your public demeanor. You seem to have been pushing this ppi/dpi thing ever since you joined the forum, close to 4000 posts ago. Perhaps you should move to northern Alaska...

This from a guy who wrote my slip was showing, and I stepped in something.
You seem to be of the opinion that you can attack me and I shouldn't be allowed to defend myself. You're wrong.
With you? No way! Here I thought you held me in the highest regard.
Have at it. You keep the topic going so...
I read this above.
"Answering questions about ppi causes grief?"
That is true. The definitions of PPI, DPI, Points, and Pixels are constantly being (incorrectly) interchanged. This is not just on forums. The same thing happens in online and printed magazines. I audited a digital photography class from Harvard a couple of years ago. The professor had the students totally confused because he kept interchanging them.
Online we try to learn from our peers. But how do we decide who has it right? If ten 'students' bet on the wrong horse and pass this information on as fact and half of them are told they are wrong, it causes grief for everybody involved.
I'm no expert and might be betting on the wrong horse, but I do believe Dman got it right.

Dman, you have been on the attack all along, and obviously so. You are clearly allowed to defend yourself, whether you are capable of doing so or not is a different question.
This new section has significant potential value, which is possibly why we are engaging in a skirmish about it. It deserves a chance to succeed or to fail, based upon its merits.
Why do you not step back and let nature take its course. If the section has merit, then it may succeed, if it does not then it will fail.
So far I only perceive you as an antagonist. Is that how you wish to be perceived?
