"Please note that by default only mentors and moderators are allowed to reply to a thread."
So is this saying that this will not be a forum??

It means only the mentors will answer.
This is not a 'free for all'.
This will avoid all the conflicting answers. All mentors have serious credentials.

First of all thank you for this section - excellent idea. I would like to suggest these two photographers to be a part of the Mentor team if that's okay with you and with them. I found their advices very good, helpful and practical and my understanding that they are pros with many years of experience.
They are : WeddingGuy and bkyser.

Guys, the OP was completely open as he moved toward this moment. In fact, I got tired of his posts taking up room in this thread as he explained yet again. There are no surprises here.
As a raw newbie, I welcome this pro discussion. There are open forums everywhere, and they are interesting and often useful, but sometimes it’s confusing, at least for a beginner, to sort out who has the experience to support postings, as opposed to those who may be theorizing, or even just joining in with banter. There is plenty of room for different varieties of forums, and I appreciate your providing this option. Thanks!

Who decides if a mentors credentials are "serious"?
