Figuring out how to circumvent silly Ignore List censorship.

My answer is actually after more than two years and several tries I was able to get the white cactus flower image I had envisioned by bringing a cut flower indoors to photograph it. Many of you have seen it in a couple presentations here on the Hog.

Mine has to be photographing a full moon while in Venice, Italy. I don't think I'll get this shot again.

Fantastic. Is that glow in the bottom left the dawn sun or lights from the Antelope Valley? You must be facing E or S-E -ish. Those hills are certainly not (huge) Mount Whitney which should be behind you from the Alabama Hills / Lone Pine Area. .

I was facing S-W, the glow is from Lone Pine. The hills in front are the Alabama Hills. Mt Whitney is over my right shoulder.

If I had to choose one (but that's mean) I'd say it was one of the pics I took at Oshkosh. It became my first - and only - metal print...one of about a quadrillion Blue Angels shots taken by people over the decades they've been around. I was using a rented outfit (my first such experience). Now I'm going to have a bad case of GAS coming on in the near future, darn it!

Built this 72" panoramic of a sunset on South Branch Lake. I broke it down and printed it in 12"x24" sections on my 13" Epson home printer and mounted the finished prints on birch plywood panels with 3M Roll Adhesive. Top-coated each panel with 4 coats of water-based polyurethane and assembled. It was the center-of-attraction at a craft show I was part in October. Sold it to a young doctor who had spent her summers growing up at her grandfathers camp on the small island he owned to the center-right of the piece. Installed it a couple weeks later in her apartment.
This was my 2017 highlight.

Cool pic! I've never attempted a triptych (or for that matter a 'sextych') for printing although I did try to make a fake one using PSE or Picasa and a You-Tube video

My photography moment in 2017 was to volunteer at a Gary Sinise Foundation fundraiser to photograph and video the event on Long Island for my personal friend who ran it for Gary Sinise.

Just FYI, Gary Sinise was the grand marshal at the Rose Parade in Pasadena, CA this year!

The panels are tightly clamped and mullioned together with 6 foot long strips of plywood and hung as a single piece off two hard points.

Winning a raffle for season tickets to the Indianapolis Colts. My seats were so close to the field that at first I thought I won the lottery. But right before the game started I realized I could not see anything because of so many people working the game. Watching the game had to be in the jumbotron. But then I discovered there is so much going on than the game itself. I was able to talk to the NFL photographers and ask them what it takes to do what they do. Also talked to other broadcast people about their jobs and the difficulty to covering a game from end to end.(NBC broadcasts are insanely crowded!!) And of course, take lots of photos of what happens on the sidelines, between plays and on the game too. But I had to be lucky there was an opening and be really fast. Some of my photos are in my website http://daver.photo

I'd have to say this image is among best "Photographic Moment" although the whole river trip in the Canyon was right up there!

Nice pic, but you might want to 'smart brush' out those power/phone lines...haven't been out west for many years, and when I was, it was in a long-haul sami so I never had time to do any sightseeing.
