Good shots AuntieM.That's a beautiful motorhome and I'm sure you'll have some great holidays in it.We used to go caravanning for many years and loved every minute in it.
Thanks Angler. I have wanted to do this for many years, but was afraid that I could not do it by myself, so I waffled back and forth for a long time. Once I got in this vehicle and drove it, there was absolutely no doubt that I could handle driving and maneuvering it. Now - the mechanical stuff - that's another matter, but that too shall come. I hope to make many good memories in it. Hope you and Mrs. Angler are well and have a very merry Christmas and New Year.

Although it's been many years since I read the book, I seem to recall that John Steinbeck named his specially-built GMC pickup/camper Rocinante (after Don Quixote's horse); he went around the country in it with his dog in 1960 and Travels with Charley was the result.
Well that name easily rolls off the tongue doesn't it?
Since it is a Minnie Winnie, maybe Winnie the Pooch?

Sorry I have not been on UHH much lately - a lot going on. Anyway, I have dreamed about having a small motorhome to travel the country in, and have finally been able to get one. This is a 2003 Mini Winnie 29B with less than 19,000 miles on it. So, I may be coming to an area near you. So many places I want to see, and so little time.
Now I have to think of a name - I love collecting rocks, and I will be hauling my dogs around, so have thought of "Rolling Stone" and "Doghouse" but they just don't resonate with me. If any of you have thoughts, I would love to hear them.

My wife and I love our motor home and use it a bunch around the western US. But you do know why a motor home is referred to as an RV, don't you? I have a name for our RV, its called "Ruined Vacation", because inevitably, something will break and you will have to take time out of your vacation to fix it. Sad but true, but I am sure you will have some wonderful adventures.
How about Rock-n-Roll? Gets the rocks and the rolling down the highways.
If this is your first RV, you could name it FURSTONE. That sort of covers everything.
Happy travels!

LOVE IT! I'll do better than a post card - I want to return to the Hill Country and this time we really will have lunch.

BTW, Minnie Ha Ha is an interesting paddle wheel screw prop combination cruise boat on Lake George in Upstate New York
