[quote=buckbrush]I also found mothballs seem to work for mice but not for ground squirrels. I have ground squirrels digging nests under the concrete slab of our barn. I stuffed about 10 mothballs into every opening and pounded dirt into the holes to seal them....../quote]

Reminds me of a story my Dad told years ago. His Dad had a hired hand named Jim on the farm who was a little "slow." One day a neighbor was explaining to Jim that he could get rid of some rats in the barn by pounding a mix of sand and cement in their holes. There is one stud cavity in my house that over the last 3+ decades mice (40ish times) crawl into and die. It then stinks to high heaven. Of the multiple dozen cavities this is the Only one where this has ever occured. What on earth could cause this?
About three years ago I found a product called fresh carb rodent repellant and until today haven't had a single mouse in there. Now I can no longer find fresh carb in stores or on line. Many online sites like amazon list it but it is out of stock or in some way not available. TSC says they are no longer able to order it.

A San Francisco/Oakland TV station was talking about the crab harvest just this morning. Seems crab season will be delayed again this year because the crabs don't have enough meat on them or something like that. A lot of people are trying to order it with no luck.

Wow, I screwed up. When I first read the post I thought it was saying "Fresh crab and mice" but looking at it now I see it was saying something about "carb rodent repellant". I don't even know what that is so I can't help with this.

Well I screwed up a bit myself, it is fresh CAB and I didn't notice my typo till I was outside my edit window. Any way it doesn't seem to matter as the product is not available this year or maybe ever. I still appreciate all who chimed in.

After I posted my last reply, I Googled 'carb rodent repellent'. Google enlightened me that it should be 'Cab Rodent Repellent'.
